So you're one of those posters who sometimes say "Dak is cool. I'm glad he's our QB" then sometimes mock him throwing some shade like this. Hmmm...
For my full history …
First year, I was strongly behind Dak. In fact, when Romo was healthy, I said we should stay with Dak because I felt the Cowboys were in a groove and winning so why disrupt the apple cart.
Second year, I thought Dak would throw more interceptions but would be a better quarterback. I was still on the bandwagon.
Third year, I was disappointed with Dak's performance. He was skittish in the pocket, would not pull the trigger when necessary, turned the ball over too much and failed to throw to open receivers. It was in season three that I felt Dak had not shown the progress I thought he should have. So, yes, I criticized him - and that strongly.
This year, I am willing to give Dak the benefit of the doubt.
So … my support Dak/chide Dak is consistent with my position. Besides, you shouldn't read too much in me ribbing Dak. I laugh at myself.
However, I'm not a subscriber of "you can't criticize any Dallas Cowboy player lest you be called a hater." That's childish to me. People have different views than others - which is to be expected on a forum as eclectic as this one. And I admit, I kind of like to get under the skin of posters who have "ALL or NOTHING" vision. I welcome the naysayers and the pollyannas. They don't bother me at all. It makes for a diverse forum, and I appreciate diversity.
There you have it, in a turtle shell.
