Tyrone Crawford and Antwaun Woods may not play, so I'm guessing it won't be a d-lineman. Austin hasn't cleared concussion protocol and Gallup is out, so no way its Wilson. Personally, I would have cut Darian Thompson, but Woods injury scratches that idea.

I'm guessing one of the spare o-lineman - Redmond or Knight.

Quinn's roster exemption ends tomorrow, so someone is getting cut (or traded or put on IR).

Any predictions?

I mean any realistic ones (Taco ain't getting cut).
OL Knight had an injury in camp. That might "flare up" again and they could put him on IR.

CJ Goodwin is a special teams player and 5th CB.

They could put LB Gifford on IR but they obviously have been avoiding that move.

Taco's contract is guaranteed. They are unlikely to cut him.

X.Woods would be out 8 weeks if he went to IR. That's 7 games with the bye week. He can practice after 6 weeks.

If not for Woods injury, with Donovan Wilson practicing now, they could cut Kavon Frazier. I guess they could anyway with Wilson/Thompson back from injury and Woods out they are actually up 1 Safety. Worst case Byron Jones can play snaps at Safety to finish put a game.

They won't do this but they could make a deal with a low end veteran like Su'a-Filo such that they cut him and then re-sign him after a week or two with him getting a bonus to make up for game checks lost. Since he is a vested veteran, he is not subject to waivers.

Proposal (not really serious)
The Cowboys should make a deal with the Dolphins where the Dolphins claim players the Cowboys cut and then if the Cowboys need any of them back they swap a 2025 6th for the Dolphins 2025 7th in a trade to get them back. They should do that with Taco. He'll be begging to come back to the Cowboys and spend double time in practice.

Redmond. Maybe. But we'd be at 8 OL and needing to get Martin some snaps at C in practice
They mentioned on CB today that Redmond would make another roster. On TC they brought up Schultz as a low key possibility. He's apparently only had 8 snaps in 2 games.

That would seem strange to me. Cowboys are already light at TE.

slight problem with that. waiver wired don't use this years standings until later in the season. Dolphins have 13th slot
