If you heard Jones today he didn't sound like a guy that is going to cut Taco. He said he still thinks he'll be a big contributor for the Cowboys.

Hey buddy, technically they have to release a player and if he clears waivers then they can sign him to the practice squad. Every once in a while when teams make their big cut down before week 1 a player they hope slides by so they cab sign them to the practice squad gets picked up by another team.
