Honestly what games are people watching? Collins was killing WAS.

I wouldn't say that. He made some good plays, but he's not providing the consistent penetration and pass rush that you're supposed to get from the 3-tech in this scheme. He's a good rotational player for that spot.

He's done here, I don't see them re-signing him. It's all about Trysten Hill now...the future! :yourock:

Define consistency. There aren't 10 DTs in the entire league who penetrate with more consistency than Collins.

Where our DL is failing right now is at DE. Just not enough pass rush.

You'd have to show me that. I see a guy who gets into the backfield and disrupts the passer or runner maybe a couple of times a game. For this scheme, you need someone at 3-tech who is getting into the backfield more like David Irving was when we could keep him on the field. You collapse the middle and the ends will get home

Again, Collins is a fine rotational 3-tech, but he isn't a beast, which is why we drafted Hill in the second round this year.

We all thought Collins was due for a breakout season. He was dominating in the preseason.

Then, the regular season came.

And here we are. Yet again. And Maliek Collins is yet again MIA.

I was told that we have so much depth on DL that we will send waves of DL after the QB

Well, “waves” of JAGs are still JAGs

We do have depth
What we need are starters

I just hope he can stay on the field...

There’s no way we should resign him, as he’s an injury waiting to happen..

I don't get it either. He is one of the most underappreciated players on the team.

Well, yes, canine lad, I too have had that feeling, "what planet are we on?" and "Why invite Zoners to the tea when you can have civility?"

Blimey, Essex rowdies, the things I say!
