Crawford to IR
Knight to IR/cut-->PS (Covington went on the PS today so it is at 10, one cut needed)
Taco traded
Austin to IR/cut

He has to get waived first before going to the practice squad.
Yes I understand that. I was just thinking that's eventually where he whines up after everything's said and done. I was thinking defensive line for defensive line. I think that's why I was initially replying to. There's other players that could go before him but I misunderstood the question

You have said Armstrong multiple times and .that is why people keep calling you out. Armstrong is nowhere near bottom 5 on the roster. And most people don't read the whole thread and go back to comment. They do it as they are reading.
The point is I believe I misunderstood the question. I thought it was defensive line for defensive line.

Quinn's roster exemption ends tomorrow, so someone is getting cut (or traded or put on IR).

Any predictions?

I mean any realistic ones (Taco ain't getting cut).
So who has the majority chosen. I thought the question was defensive line for defensive line. That was my mistake

Schultz should rest easy then because Broaddus is wrong about 80% of the time.

lol,.. which is why I still get amazed when I hear da Broad give these type of suggestions, that he was once a lead scout for the Cowboys.

I think that is more about scheme than about the team being down on his play.

Kellen seems to favor the 11 personnel (3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 RB) even more heavily than what Linehan relied upon. (and he's designing and producing far better results)

plus we don't have defined blockers on the edge as we used to with the likes of James Hanna/Geoff Swaim (nor at lead FB as well)
and I tend to wonder if that has had some lesser affects in run game which means lesser breakaway runs from zeke.

but although Schultz isn't getting on the field because of witten/jarwin getting the 11 and 12 personnel, why even expose ourselves to having an emergency TE injury crisis situation
and being forced to go with Olawele at TE ? (who already doesn't block well at FB)

Woods o

More likely it would be Gifford - we have LB depth.

whose the depth at LB if Gifford is cut ? Joe Thomas and Justin March ?
do we really want to risk it being that thin with Lee's durability uncertainty ?
and March isn't much of a player as a base LB, his claim to fame is what he does on special teams, imo.

Good point. Then, my guess would be Knight.

Broaddus is good at just looking at a play and instantly giving his opinion about it and the players involved in it.

Broaddus is terrible at anything that requires more in depth analysis or scenario type thinking.

For example, he is OK when just analyzing what he sees from a draft prospect; however, when it comes to ranking that prospect relative to other prospects either at the same position or overall, then his brain goes haywire.

He is actually decent when he does the preseason radio broadcasts with Brad Sham (Babe is on TV during the preseason).

Oddly, I think he missed his calling in that doing color commentary during games seems to fit him. No in depth thinking required. Just call out what you see.
