BAKER MAYFIELDQB, CLEVELAND BROWNS

Browns coach Freddie Kitchens said he needs to get the ball out of Baker Mayfield's hands quicker because Mayfield is taking "too many hits."
Kitchens is taking the blame here and sounds like he'll change the offensive gameplan to scheme around his below-average offensive line, but Mayfield also needs to work on feeling and avoiding pressure. The change in gameplan is likely opting for more quick-hitting passes, especially when facing defensive lines that can get after the quarterback. Next week, Mayfield will go up against Aaron Donald and the Rams, so now is the time for a change. Mayfield has the fifth-highest sack percentage through two weeks.

Coaching. It’s not just him. WRs look like they don’t always know what they’re doing

That's a good point. The entire team looks sloppy. Mayfield is just slinging darts down the middle of the field in desperation like a schoolyard game. It's weird to say, but even in their win against the Jets, they didn't look good.

This is why you don't listen to Group Think BS. This board has kinda been over run with a lot of that lately and it's just not wise to do that.

What did we see with Mayfield coming out of OU? Not very mobile, slow release and not overly tall. How does that translate into the NFL? Well, if you have a great OL and can give him some time, then He'll be fine because he can throw. But, if he doesn't get that time, then you have a problem because his skill set won't translate well under those conditions.

Beckham and Landry have been around long enough to know what they are doing, unless they are just too lazy and/or stupid to figure it out in Cleveland.

The prob with mayfield is that he makes his highlights off of hanging around for 5-7 seconds and by that time WRs are uncovered and it becomes backyard ball...however his OL can’t block for that long.

Browns are playing undisciplined football across the board. The coaching has been poor so far. The wracked up 18 week one penalties, against the Titans... Week 2 vs the Jets was better, but the Jets were toothless in that game...

He's officially turnover prone.

He throws interceptions at a very high rate.

Turnovers were always going to be a problem with him even if he was playing at a high level

Well he's not playing good and he's turning it over.
