I don't think Cowherd is flip flopping much in that. He's saying what he's been saying, Dak's strengths are his leadership, his intelligence and his teamwork ability. The guys he took over him, he took because he felt they had better pure QB mechanics. He's not saying anywhere that Dak is bad, or that Dak isn't better than any of the this or that QB's in the system in situation he's in compared to theirs.

That said right now, if he's talking over the extended period, I'm sort of surprised at him picking Ryan or Wentz. Both look in decline.

And just to note, not sure I agree with a lot of what he said there, but I do respect the thought he put behind it.

His reasoning for Goff specifically didn't make sense. He tried to say Goff had McVay but then got Dak brought up Zeke and the oline. Goff has Gurley and the Rams oline has graded better than the Cowboys' except for Dak's rookie year.

What would this idiot know about "natural passing" if he's never played the sport before, much less played QB? He sounds exactly like the Dak haters who obviously have never played QB and probably were a bunch of bench warmers or played band instead during high school.

Good vid, great little game, horrible picks.
Let's analyze:

Passer rating to me is the essential, definite and most important index in which quarterbacks are measured, Dak beats Goff and Wentz in that category. Winning percentage is also a very important stat, and Dak also beats both of them. So why do people still think Wentz is better? He is the most overrated quarterback in recent memory for me. He will end up being as good as a Jake Plummer/Sam Bradford, which is a very OK and average QB, nothing more. Extremely fragile, not too friendly, and worse stats than his direct competitors.

As for Goff he claims that having a great coach is something great QB's have, well then, Dak hasn't had that at all, and he still beats Goff in every single category that matters to me, let's see what Goff would have become with Jeff Fisher.

In the end what difference does it make to me what quarterbacks some random guy likes better, I'm out, good night guys.

He contradicts himself in the beginning. First he says that Wentz is a good qb but has been injured the past few years but he will take him over Dak. Then he says that Jimmy G has been injured a lot but he would take Dak because of this. What is the difference both of them are injured. Wentz might be a better qb but the best ability is availability and Dak has never been injured. Also his leadership skills are lot higher than Wentz. Don’t get me wrong I like Wentz and think he is a good qb but I still will take Dak ( not being a homer) just because he durable and bottom line; wins.

He's a blow hard who is simply out for ratings. He and others in the media like him (Bayless, Stephen A, etc..) absolutely love the Dallas Cowboys, for the ratings we can get them. They're in the vein of any attention is good attention. They create spin/drama by either telling the world how great we are, which gets them fired up against us or by telling us how bad we are.
Regardless if their info is any good or not, I stopped listening to them years ago.
