The hype machine is in full effect..... Sadly we took out 2 teams in our division which speaks volumes, if not for the fact we were meant to beat them anyways. Then we play a tanking for Tua team.... While I am still sort of on the fence with Dak, please know I would rather have Dak than Tua from Alabama. Look at the history of Lefty's in the NFL.... Vick is still the best..... How is that possible? Stats have my favorite lefty Steve Young in 5th. Yeah yeah there is still Boomer, Ken Stabler, and god forbid Mark Brunell, but lord knows they are not the top 5 you are expecting..... Lefties are not made well for the NFL.... Our own K. Moore is a lefty and while he did wonders for Boise, what did he do for Dallas until couching? Point taken....

I like our new spread offense but like many have said before, the defense needs work. Maybe our new DE (off suspension) will change such... Maybe not.... Point being, I like the teams direction, just wish our opponents were better to gauge our effectiveness.... Until then, I still see a promising team, with a few blind-spots that need fixing to make the next step.... But I am encouraged though....

Go Cowboys?!!!!

Doesn't matter. We can go 15-1 but if we don't win the NFC, it all adds up to nothing. It is way too early to measure this team.

No Way we can predict that Dallas will be favored in 15 out of 16 games this early in the season. You could say that about the '93 Cowboys because they just won a SB, but not these Cowboys.

I don't see us favored against Saints, Rams, GB, Patriots and possibly Chicago.

No way to tell. If the Cowboys drop a dirty bomb on the Dolphins and the Saints struggle, Dallas probably will be favored. Or if Dallas loses easily to the Saints, they'll be dogs against GB. Same with going into Philly. If they have one or two losses when Dallas comes in, I can see Dallas being 3 point dogs.

The team won't pay any attention to Vegas odds, at least I hope they won't. The worst thing for a team is to get its head in the clouds. It tends to make them crash back down to earth.

Its funny. After 2 weeks, I looked at the schedule and was stunned at just how . . . easy it looked. I still would bank on 10-6 or something just because I hate being an irrational homer and I will always side with caution but if someone came back from the future and said Dallas ended this season at 14-2 I wouldn't be floored.

This is going to be about the playoffs at this point. Its all about figuring out how to get more out of the D.

For whatever reason Dallas doesn't like to win more than 13. No matter how good the team is, they usually win 12. Only twice have they won 13. They've had better records in the past, but never more wins than 13.

Someone pointed out to me a long time ago that when you are talking about very good teams, don't look at the wins but the losses. In basketball, a 72 win team loses half as many games as a 62 win team. That's a huge gap because just bad nights, small injuries, etc. can cause a random loss.

In order to be 14-2 or 15-1 in the NFL, you either have to be so fantastically good that you can overcome bad calls, bad days or small injuries OR just be flat out lucky. Given that the Cowboys haven't seemed to be lucky for quite some time, its a fair bet that they won't be better than 13-3 just on random occurrences (tipped pass for a pick 6, bad call, etc.).
