I'm thinking he'll be ready for the Jets game. But might hold him over through the bye.

FYI...…….I dropped Gallup in my fantasy league and picked up Smith over Cobb this week.

I have been debating picking up Smith or Cobb while Gallup is out. not dropping him though. But I haven't pulled the trigger yet because I'm trying to work a trade for M Thomas and may need the player I'm dropping in the deal.

Having been thru that surgery (2 times), l'd say he won't play for at least 3 weeks. No reason to rush it...

I have had 4 knee surgeries myself, tore both acl's and have had 2 meniscus tears too (actually the one I just got this spring had 2 tears in 1 knee). I don't see him being ready for a few weeks. And I absolutely wouldn't rush him back too soon. We need him from week 8 through the playoffs.

7 weeks? No chance

They said 2-4 weeks. The Jets game would be 4 weeks. It's not hard to believe they'd hold him over until the Eagles game. Now if he's ready by Green Bay, that's a different story. Or if GB switched places with the Jets on the schedule, again, a different story. It's just that the jets don't inspire any kind of urgency.

Trading for Thomas is a great move. But you have to be able to wait for while for the payday.

would be nice to have Gallup going against vs Saints pro bowl CB Lattimore, as N.O. will likely have him shadowing Amari Cooper and force us to beat them with
Devin Smith on outside., with Gallup being out.

i'm thinking if he has no complication setbacks, and he is back on the practice in full practice, he could ready to go vs Green Bay.

I'm not sure about that "next" part. Miami? Sure. New Orleans, even with Bridgewater, is another story.
Need to be very patient and precautionary with Gallup.
No need to rush back our future stud at WR just because we all want to see him perform again.
Dallas has been very good at doing just that.. they play when they play.
Patience is a virtue, or something like that.
I believe Gallup will to be a key component offensively, in taking this team to the next level.
Lets let Michael Gallup determine when he is healthy, and lets let the Dallas Cowboys
determine when he can play again.

Sure, I'm not saying to rush him before he's ready. Just that this is a good sign for recovery.

Hadn’t seen this posted. Good to hear.

Man, I don’t know how these pros do it. I’ve had my right knee meniscus done 2X and my left 1X ...... the quickest I came back moving around without crutches was a month and 6 months almost back to normal. I’m in great shape and not in poor health. These guys are amazing.

Good to hear but we are going to find out just how important he is. A lot more than people think.

Hopefully, some combination of Cobb, Street, Austin and Wilson can balance out the loss for a couple of weeks. But I agree. He was playing great, on a No. 1 receiver level, which made it much harder just to try to take away Cooper.

Don't know what your injury was, but there is a huge difference between a "torn" meniscus that has to be sewn back together, and a "frayed" meniscus that just has to be trimmed. I believe that Gallup's is the latter. DK Metcalf had the same thing in preseason and came back 100% in 2 weeks.

Did Austin clear protocol yet.

I have no time for this guy. I like players who don't get injured.

You guys getting Wentzed on Sunday?

More good news. I'm optimistic that Gallup might actually play against New Orleans.

Again I’m not an NFL player. But I had this same exact surgery when I was 18. Tear of the lateral meniscus. Arthroscopic surgery to trim it a bit.

I felt fine after 2 weeks. I just wore a cloth sleeve over the knee or a wrap and could do anything I wanted.

I feel like Gallup will miss the Saints game AT MOST. And definitely be back for Green Bay.

You never know. But I really feel like he will Be back really soon.
