I feel like I'm living in the Twilight Zone, everyone seems to list him as a Top 7 QB. ***?!
Wince.

Y'all will get it right one day.

.500 all-time record.....is the 2 superbowls enough to ignore his record? Probably. I am convinced the Giants benched him before his record dips below .500 to protect is precarious HOF credentials.

But his SB wins were about having superior talent around him. Do you put the guy in the HOF because he drove the bus twice and comes from a famous family?

The answer is they will, but they shouldn't.

Yeah, the problem is that no one really remembers the SB games in great detail other than some standout plays. When time comes for the vote, they will focus on 2x SB MVP listed under his credentials and vote him in. The guy was a pedestrian QB throughtout his career at best. Luck......a lot of luck! and some good defenses got him to the SB's.

He has two Super Bowls on his resume AND he played a major role in both runs.

He’s got better numbers than guys like Warren Moon.

He’s getting in. Folks need to just brace for it.

If I’m an Eagles fan, what excites me is his rocket arm, deadly accuracy when he’s hot, toughness to not shy away from hits, and Big Ben-like ability to bounce off tackles before connecting on a big play.

What would worry me? Seems to be hurt every year, streaky with his accuracy, makes some dumb throws, and hasn’t been able to carry his team on his back late in games (losing record in such scenarios).

And, it goes without saying: it undermines a franchise QB’s integrity when his backup does what Foles did the last two postseasons.

Dak makes bad throws here and there, but he rarely makes dumb throws like Wentz and Ryan often does.

Take Daks production and change his draft position to when Wince was drafted and the league would absolutely be drooling over Dak and calling him future HOF QB. Dak is being punished for his draft position with the leagues fans and especially with some Cowboys fans.
Absolutely, and people were saying that about Montana and Brady too until they won it all, wait for Dak to win in Miami, and people will start recognizing him as the best pick in franchise history, and the best qb in his class. It didn't take long for Brady to surpass Pennington and Bulger and it won't take long for the media to do the same with Dak, Wentz and Goff.

This. This. This is a very good post. Didn't really consider it until now. But that's likely true.

This post is spot on.

Some people have this belief that Dak lacks physical talent or natural ability. Which just isn’t true. He has the size, the strength, the arm strength, more than adequate agility

What Dak lacked coming into the league was consistently good mechanics, footwork and pocket presence. The DUI also hurt his draft stock coming in, or else he may have gone higher than he did.

But Dak certainly as the pure physical ability to do anything you want a QB to do.

I don’t think beating Miami is going to change anyone’s mind. The Cowboys are supposed to blow them out. Why would minds be changed for doing their jobs against a horrible team? Miami is much like the first two games since all three games have a good team playing scrubs.

Eli earned his super bowls rings, so I don't know about that.
A lot of Cowboy fans can’t see the truth because they are biased. Eli embarrassed the Cowboys in more than one occasion and fans don’t like him because of it and the fact that he is s Giant’s QB. Eli has been a good QB and he will be in the HOF one day.

I was just thinking about some believing that Dak shouldn't receive much credit or praise for beating two 0-2 teams so far. But, is willing to give Wentz praise for coming back down from 17-0 to beat an 0-2 Skins team and would have still given him credit and praise if he came back to beat an ATL team, after he had a 6.2 QB rating. And that Falcons team would have also been 0-2 if the Eagles pulled off a win.

So, I guess some would have been acted like the Falcons were a "better quality" 0-2 team over the Giants, as their way of still finding reasons to credit Wentz for beating two 0-2 teams. Even with the Falcons getting blown out by the Vikings the week before and beating below .500 last season, I have a feeling that some would just praise Wentz for two back to back "comeback wins". And that the fact that his team was trailing two 0-2 teams would have been kept out of the narrative, of those who would have used the first two weeks to praise Wentz for being a great QB.
