Again I’m not an NFL player. But I had this same exact surgery when I was 18. Tear of the lateral meniscus. Arthroscopic surgery to trim it a bit.

I felt fine after 2 weeks. I just wore a cloth sleeve over the knee or a wrap and could do anything I wanted.

I feel like Gallup will miss the Saints game AT MOST. And definitely be back for Green Bay.

You never know. But I really feel like he will Be back really soon.

Thanks for sharing your experience on that injury.

I have had 4 knee surgeries myself, tore both acl's and have had 2 meniscus tears too (actually the one I just got this spring had 2 tears in 1 knee). I don't see him being ready for a few weeks. And I absolutely wouldn't rush him back too soon. We need him from week 8 through the playoffs.

I agree, l've actually had 3. I had 2 tears and one clean-up. There was less trauma involving the clean-up but l definitely wouldn't have been ready to play football for AT LEAST 3 weeks. I know he will have much better rehab than l did but your body still needs to properly heal...

True on all accounts. I am strictly going for upside here. Cobb is more likely to give you the steady 5 catches for 60 yards.
True but he could also break a long rushing attempt on some kind of crazy sweep Kellen has going on.

Not likely but you dont want to be that guy who missed out on a possible opportunity!

Plus I believe with Gallup out, Moore will be looking to get Cobb going more in the offense. Sort of like how mcvey does with Brandin Cooks.

Even if Cobb doesnt take a sweep to the house, I believe he is definitely capable of getting 100 all purpose yards if maxed out by Kellen.

Best case scenario is Kellen doesnt wip out anything vs the dolphins, plays it basic with Cobb, and Gallup comes back the week after.

If this were the saints or packers with Gallup still out then cobb is a must.

Isn't Devin Smith way faster then cobb?if we want to hold on to the same system with speed outside to keep their safetys in backfield what opens up our run game maybe Smith is the man that van make a name die himself.should be fine against dolphins

FYI...…….I dropped Gallup in my fantasy league and picked up Smith over Cobb this week.
I would have held onto him, I did in both my leagues. It's going to be hard getting him back on your team unless you're willing to spend a portion of your fan.

would be nice to have Gallup going against vs Saints pro bowl CB Lattimore, as N.O. will likely have him shadowing Amari Cooper and force us to beat them with
Devin Smith on outside., with Gallup being out.

Kellen Moore needs to earn his $$ for that game. This is the difference between contenders and pretenders...

Need to be very patient and precautionary with Gallup.
No need to rush back our future stud at WR just because we all want to see him perform again.
Dallas has been very good at doing just that.. they play when they play.
Patience is a virtue, or something like that.
I believe Gallup will to be a key component offensively, in taking this team to the next level.
Lets let Michael Gallup determine when he is healthy, and lets let the Dallas Cowboys
determine when he can play again.

*Man, I tried telling y'all not to be summoning up that bad ju-ju ,that was just waiting & fixin' to come down on the #13 by lauding his footballish super stud abilities aloud& repeatedly,,,Man,Feller's, I had an uneasy weird kinda' premonition going on concerning him& injury, since just about thru out the whole off-season:confused:

Don't know what your injury was, but there is a huge difference between a "torn" meniscus that has to be sewn back together, and a "frayed" meniscus that just has to be trimmed. I believe that Gallup's is the latter. DK Metcalf had the same thing in preseason and came back 100% in 2 weeks.
All 3 times was trimming rough cartilage, bucket handle tear and one was like someone took a knife and fast chopped one way then the other. Sports absolutely destroy knees.

We shall see. Not really a big deal if he gets picked up. I am also in a league where you only get 5 reserves so you really cant hold onto guys. Bye weeks coming up.
