Way to be "left alone".

Hours later, you come back to the thread.

To do that.

Yeah, like you've dropped it. lol.

Go ahead - get the last word. I see how desperately important that is to you. Maybe it will help ease all this trauma from the Taco failure.

No, I want you to keep on being the hypocrite, who wants to be "left alone" but can't do that himself. Show your lack of personal accountability once again while you make excuses for the team's lack of it. It's deliciously ironic!

Having a good game in the preseason really doesn't mean much. Also Taco told the team in the summer he wanted to be traded.
Well, it's got to mean something, and it was week 3, the dress rehearsal. It means more than the other 3.
If it was always the intent to trade him, then they royally blew that by deactivating him for weeks. He had little market value, but when they sat him for 2 weeks his value went to zero. Decent showings early in the season would have established a market for him.

This mean that Dolphins pickup the rest of the contract or Dallas still have to pay. Reading that somebody pick him up on certain time period the team have to pay out the rest of the contract. Wonder this good for the Cowboys on the CAP?

Was a bust.

Disappointing, but decent time to cut him. Should get a nice comp pick
No comp pick for players that are cut.

Comp picks are for players that have expired contracts and then sign with another team in free agency.

The Dolphins claimed him on waivers which means they inherit the contract.

If no team had claimed him on waivers, then after the waiver claim period a team could sign him to whatever contract was agree upon.

The Cowboys would have owed him money in the 2nd scenario.

I didn't know what to think I'm still confused what's happening with the defensive tackle the rookie. Do you know what's going on with him
What's going on with the defensive tackle, the rookie. Is he having a culture problem also a talent problem. no room for him yet I can't seem to find any information

Rookies need time to learn to play in the NFL. Some rookies need more time than others.

Trysten Hill was known to be a player that would need time to develop in the NFL.

Hill had the physical measurable(s) of a 1st round pick and he didn't have criminal or drug issues. He was available in the late 2nd round because he needed time and a lot of coaching to develop.

Hill came to a team that has depth on the DLine. If he had been draft last season, he would likely be active for games because the team had less depth.

Hill is a "high motor" players that played more snaps in the preseason games than other players on the Cowboys roster but he played with excellent effort from start to finish of the preseason games.

There will not be any information to find per se with regards to what he is doing in practices. The media is only allowed to see a few minutes of practice during the season. The practices are not open like they are in training camp.

Rookie Draft Picks often don't start or play significant snaps early in their rookie seasons.
  • Demarcus Lawrence had zero starts as a rookie.
  • Sean Lee did not start as a rookie.
  • DeMarco Murray didn't start immediately.
  • Tyron started at RT, not the premium spot of LT as a rookie.
  • Xavier Woods was not a true starter as a rookie.
  • Byron Jones was not a true starter as a rookie.
  • Ron Leary was on the Practice Squad as a rookie.
  • Bruce Carter was didn't start as a rookie but was a full time starter afterwards.
  • Crawford did not start as a rookie but is in his 6th season as a starter.
  • Marcus Spears was a 1st round pick but didn't start immediately.
  • Jason Witten was just a part time starter as a rookie.
  • Romo didn't play a snap in regular season games until his 4th season.

In the preseason fans/media claimed that Hill was out-played by rookie UDFA DLinemen but that was not really true.

Flash plays in preseason games like sacks, tackles for loss and blocked passes are not how coaches grade players.

The coaches grade on the details of each play and how the player handled their assignments.

That is obvious from the Taco ordeal. He had all of those in the preseason but the coaches didn't grade him on those.

IMO that's what it is. Athletically he has a lot of positives, that would worthy of a first round DT. Now, you can read conflicting reports about his attitude/work ethic in UCF, so maybe that's why they wanted to just get rid of Taco.
Bingo.

Any combination of the following are the reasons any player is not a 1st round pick:
  • Lack of physical ability.
  • Lack of correct mental make-up (attitude, lack of effort, can't learn the scheme, etc.).
  • Criminal Issues.
  • Drug Issues.
  • Needs time to develop.

Hill had the required physical measurable(s) and demonstrated ability in college (just not consistently demonstrated).

  • Hill did not have criminal or drug issues.
  • Hill was considered a "high motor" player.
  • Hill's 2nd college D-Coordinator heaped praise on him in a radio interview after the draft.
  • Hill's original college coaching staff loved him and wanted him to transfer with them.
  • Hill's "attitude" issues appear to only be that he was upset when the new Head Coach would not let him transfer with the previous coaches.
  • Hill did have an issue being slow to adapt to the new defensive scheme in college.
    • The new coaches told him the previous coaches methods were not what they wanted from him.
    • Hill had so completely bought in to the original coaches message, that it made it difficult to un-learn what they taught him.
    • Even now, he is un-learning some of what those original coaches taught him because they ran a 3-4 defense.

Thanks, I appreciate the information he didn't have to be That explicit but again appreciated

Hopefully Taco learns from this and betters himself. The dude has all the physical talent he needs. He just needs to mature a bit and get that dog mentality. He needed some time with the Manster.

newsflash. ALL NFL teams miss on high draft picks. Fortunately for us, we hit much more than miss.
