It’s not really free if his contract is partly guaranteed.

If the Cowboys have offset language in his contract, and the fish claimed him, doesn’t that save the Cowboys some cap room? This is too good to be true.

The Cowboys already paid $5.43 million of his four-year, $10 million contract in his signing bonus, and he’s only guaranteed $7.73 million from his rookie deal. If Miami claims Charlton by Thursday’s noon deadline, they’d be responsible for paying for the final 14 games of his 2019 salary and his 2020 salary ($920,000), which is guaranteed.

So essentially, the Dolphins, a team desperate for pass rushing and edge-setting help, could acquire a 24-year-old former first-round pick for less than $2 million in guaranteed money.

That's great. We are off the hook for his deal.

Love to see him play Sunday. I have a feeling the OL will have a little something extra for him.

Don't they run a 3-4? Taco is 6'6" and OLBs aren't usually that tall. The Packers made it work with Julius Peppers but he was a HOF rusher who could fit any scheme

Probably plays DE. Especially in the 4-2-5. They lost their starter in the nickel for the year last week.

Has a player ever gotten 10 sacks in a game before? Asking for a friend.

I said yesterday that the Dolphins are going to love him.
