We shall see. Not really a big deal if he gets picked up. I am also in a league where you only get 5 reserves so you really cant hold onto guys. Bye weeks coming up.
5 reserves is rough.....

Again I’m not an NFL player. But I had this same exact surgery when I was 18. Tear of the lateral meniscus. Arthroscopic surgery to trim it a bit.

I felt fine after 2 weeks. I just wore a cloth sleeve over the knee or a wrap and could do anything I wanted.

I feel like Gallup will miss the Saints game AT MOST. And definitely be back for Green Bay.

You never know. But I really feel like he will Be back really soon.

I had it myself when I was 16 and it wasn't quite the same, but for me they had to take a lot of cartilage . I played football at the time and missed five weeks total but that was because of the severity. But, like you said, once it was fully healed and with a sleeve, there wasn't anything I felt I couldn't do at the time. Heck, I was able to walk out of the surgery with no crutches or cane, and I went in wearing an immobilizer with zero ability to put weight on the knee without it catching and collapsing.

Unfortunately as decades went along it has given me a lot of long term problems, but again, that was just because I tore it almost from the front to the back.

From what they've said Gallup's a lot less severe than what I had.

You’re absolutely right. Exactly how much cartilage is being removed is certainly a factor. I didn’t have a lot removed. Really just a little bit that was torn and causing discomfort.

I didn’t want to start a new thread about this so figured I’d add my question here. Lately Gallup has been praised for his deep speed and separation. He’s been referred to as a “burner” here and by the media lately. That lead to me looking up his combine numbers. His 40 time was 4.51. Not slow but definitely not “burner” numbers. Has he gotten faster since coming into the league? It it more than speed that allows him to get open? Is he a better/cleaner route runner that allows him to look faster than he is? Just curious, thanks!

football speed Ie being able to run past your defender is considered being fast..he gets behind a lot of DBS even last year when he and dak didnt connect.. the one they missed.. hes getting separation and run deep routes well..

why over think it maybe its his release off the line, subtle moves to gain the space but he is a good downfield WR regardless if hes a so called burner..does he have to be a 4.35 to be good?

beat the man in front of you and have qb get it to you.. thats WRs goal.. he catches it when its catchable, seen a lot of 4.35 WRs with brock hands..

I wonder if Terrance Williams ever, you know, went to a meeting.

There is no need to rush his recovery. I would expect him back in meetings but that's not practice. He'll be back at practice (limited) next week but I wouldn't expect him to play in the Saints game. I expect him back against the Packers.
