The worst thing about the release of Taco

It appears that the only reason for his release is because grown men can't get along and there was some drama between Marinelli and him. Probably between him and some players as well.

The thing is Taco seemed to have progressed based on his preseason performance and could contribute this season.

That's what makes this situation look so bad.

TACO GOT RELEASED BECAUSE HE SUCKS!!!!!!

Its that simple. How much more evidence do you need? My god if you weren't astute enough to see how bad he was on the field, then you could have looked at the benching. Then to top if all off he gets released.

What has to happen for you to see that a guy sucks?

You don't hear about stuff like this with the Patriots.

Actually you do. They drafted Dominique Easley in the first round, then cut him two years later when he put up lesser stats than Taco did. That was only four years ago.

The bigger issue than his attitude was the fact he dogged it in practice and elsewhere. People criticize Dez for being a diva - and he was - but Dez put in 110% all the time, there was never a question about that part of it.

Apparently Taco never put in any effort, going back to his rookie year.
Shame on your for even mentioning Dez and Taco in the same sentence. Dez worked hard and put in work and passion for this team. Dez's passion to win got misunderstood and when his skills started to diminish, it made him look bad. Michael Irvin was 10 times more passionate than Dez, we never had to witness his skills diminish due to his sudden injury. Taco never put in the effort nor passion for his team. I hope we sign Dez to a one day contract so he can retire as a Cowboy.

You mean it gets worse than completely failing on 1st rd pick?

This claim off waivers saves us about $1.3 million I think. That's certainly a good thing.

I tend to agree with you about Dez. I loved the man's talent and tenacity. He worked very hard at practice, from what I've read was said by other teammates.

To this day, I believe it was a catch!

Because of the way we handle these types of situations.

We have no leverage.

That's true, but if anybody thought Taco was worth a squat they would have at least offered a conditional pick for him instead of having to put in a waiver claim and hoping no other team would beat them to the punch.

That is true but you hear it once it was done. With the Cowboys you hear the rumblings then gossip.

How about Easley's two trips to IR? The truth changes the narrative a bit.

The truth is that you are desperate to complain about the Cowboys.

CSNNE.com’s Tom E. Curran reported Easley was released because of “philosophical differences on following injury programs, etc.” CBSSports.com’s Jason La Canfora reported the release was “not a pure performance/football matter. Off field issues related to the decision to part w/ former top pick.” FoxSports.com’s Peter Schrager reported the release was “more for off-field reasons than on. Nothing specific, at the moment.”

I just have the guts to call garbage the garbage that it is and don't have to make excuses for it like a child.

Does it change the fact that he ended up on IR two straight years? Let me know when Taco did. Then you'll have a comparison. Not before.

Sent to IR twice and you have the nerve to tell me RG was a bad comparison to TJ Watt playing RE. You just blatantly lied trying to compare this guys situation to Taco.

I find it interesting that we gave up on Taco primarily because he and Marinelli couldn’t get along, and yet we draft a guy in the 2nd round this year that had similar problems with his coaching in college

I just love all the sheep that thought this was a good pick to begin with, just because we drafted him. Dude was a total joke in college, there was zero doubt that he'd be a bust.
