They won the Superbowl two seasons back.

They have a good head coach who has a pair.

They have a deep looking roster on paper.

Many teams can come unstuck in Atalanta so I wouldn't write them off after two games.

I expect a tough, very competitive game.

They won a SB two years ago and the QB that won it is in Jacksonville. The QB coach and OC and starting RBs from that team are gone as well.

Do they have a deep roster? Everyone keeps saying they do. Their DBs and LBs suck. Their DL took a major hit over the last week. Exactly where are they deep?

They have talent but a lot of their key skill position players and OL/DL are old and prone to injury. Obviously do not need to mention Wentz and his history.

It’s funny, as I watched them I thought the same thing about sanders, he looks pedestrian behind their line. Wentz is grossly overrated, even if he stays healthy he’s going nowhere fast with the Eagles. It’s only a matter of time before the fans turn on him, unfortunately for them, Foles can’t bail them out this time.

Eagles dont have any glaring weaknesses.

I will agree that Sanders didnt look so hot. But Washington had a great run defense before their DT got hurt. And ATlanta has a great front 7.
An inconsistent brittle overrated qb is a glaring weakness.

Pederson has decent RBs but does not really use them. Is it because he wants Wentz to carry the team? Was is the previous OC that used the RBs more when they won the SB? Not sure why they traded for Howard and drafted a RB high in the draft if they are not really going to use them.

The way I see it is they have a win and had a chance to win against a good Falcons team on the road despite having the following injuries and their QB being garbage:

WR1
WR2
LT1
TE2
TE1 who couldnt raise his hands over his head but had to stay in due to other injuries
1st and 2nd string 1 Tech

Their QB might not be the best, but they have a stacked roster

I watched a majority of the Commanders/Eagles game and all of the Eagles/Falcons game last night.

Noticed that their rushing attack is non-existent.

Miles Sanders looks like average runner to me at best.
(10 rushes 28 yards against the Falcons)

Jordan Howard looks like a back-up and see why the Bears shipped him off.
(8 rushes 18 yards against the Falcons)

The Eagles biggest weakness is that they are a one dimensional on offense and throw the ball way too much.

What do you think the biggest weakness is for the Eagles?

I think Cowboy fans think about Eagles too much instead of enjoying what I think is greatest collection of talent since their SBs.

Yes they do.

Their secondary is a glaring weakness. Been one of the worst pass defenses the first two weeks of the season. If Matt Ryan wasn't a boob, it would have been even worse for the secondary. He missed three wide open bombs for big yardage in that game Sunday night.

I don't share that opinion.

Birds next 6 games. Definitely 3 or 4 tough matchups for them when 100% healthy. If their WRs do not return and their DL falls apart then the all those games will be tough. Stafford could light up their DBs. The Packers will be able to run and pass on them and their defense will be tough. Vikings should be able to run on them.

vs Detroit
@ Green Bay
vs New York
@ Minnesota
@ Dallas
@ Buffalo

I'm still not sold on their secondary. I know they got 3 picks of Ryan last night, but they also gave up 2 100 yd receivers, and gave up big chunks plays. And Case Keenum went for 380 against them in week 1. They have zero running game and wentz will not last the season if they keep throwing it 40 times per game. And now, Jeffrey and Jackson are dinged up.

Darby got burned twice before finally giving up that TD to Ridley.
their secondary is in trouble.
they need Ramsey. badly.

here's my take on the Eagles.
they are and have been overrated for a while now.
people seem to still give them a lot of credit based on their Super Bowl win in the 2017 season.
outside of that year...have they been much better than mediocre?
they also would not have won that year if their Star Elite QB didn't get hurt. he doesn't do what Foles was (somehow) able to do. Foles blacked out for that playoff run. that entire run wasn't exactly lucky, as their defense was great and the offense was clicking. but it was a little fluky. the NFC also wasn't great - Case Keenum was in the NFC Championship game that year. Case Keenum. Rodgers was out that year and the Saints weren't great yet. hell, that Pats team they beat almost lost to Blake Bortles in the AFC Championship.
so not only is this current team very different from that team (that i don't even think was a great NFL team), the players still there are now older and worse. they have hardly any young star players. it's a young man's game, and their drafts haven't produced studs.

the year before the SB win and the year after reveal a lot to me. i think they've been a good, not great, team that got hot on their way to a SB while not having to go thru any really good teams to get there.

Biggest weakness is Carson! What say you, Risen?

I don't share that opinion.

in what way is their secondary not a weakness? forget names. Darby got burned repeatedly in Atlanta. Jenkins is the only good player in the secondary. their CB depth is also poor.
their LBs are nothing special. now they have two hurt DTs that won't be able to cover up for that weakness, either.

The OL was touted as probably the best because they have the names on the back of the jersey but Peters and Kelcy dont look like the probowlers of past. Theres a reason Kelcy was bout to retire and Peter has had more injuries then Tyron. Theyre not much better at pass blocking either. Wentz is getting killed. He's making some amazing plays to keep them in games when theyre down. The OL is going to be their downfall.

Here is big surprise. DeSean Jackson out 2 weeks. Dude is always hurt and has only 16 games twice.

PHILADELPHIA -- Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson has an abdominal strain that is expected to sideline him for two weeks, sources tell ESPN.

One doctor recommended surgery, which would have shelved the 32-year-old for about six weeks, but Jackson wants to return to action as soon as possible, so he opted against it, a source said.

Jackson exited early in the first half against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night.

Eagles is a trashcan of a franchise, the reason that team is garbage, has to do with ownership and general management . pretty much .

The whole image and marketing aspect of the team is down the drain , not to mention the 'top of mind' you get when you hear philadelphia eagles .

The 'balboa slums' city ,
the tough "I spit in your face" culture,
The weird green color,

man, that team sucks !

That abdominal strain can be cured with some pepto ... but the eagles culture is garbage ... jackson prefers to take 2 weeks off .
