Jones back at S makes no sense to me. Why move him from where he excels as one of the best in the league to a position he was just "ehhh" at?
I thought he did well at safety someone else just pointed out to me he wasn't that great I just don't remember. Thanks for replying

So Jerry can pay him as a safety, keep him and pay him, then move him back lol

Eagles are not 1 CB away from going to the SB.

It would be impactful in the short term and a wash in the long term

They are close enough where a CB who basically solves half their secondary problems could help them make a run.

Their one clear weakness is their secondary (and well the number of injuries they have). They can stop the run. They just can't stop the pass because their corners are so weak. Ramsey would help fix that.

Bryon Jones wasn't a very good safety.
He showed early promise as a FS, but they moved him to SS because Heath has issues in the run game. They found out both have issues in the run game if they have to play in the box. Heath still has to since Woods is more of a FS as well.

Where did this talk of 2 #1s come from? Peter King floated yesterday it might only cost them a 1st, 3rd and a player like Sidney Jones, who has struggled.

You might not have to imagine much longer. I think they're the favorite to get him.

If that’s the price, I have no problems sending a 1st 3rd and Lewis/Brown for Ramsey. That’s robbery

Who would you rather have Ramsey or Byron? If its Ramsey, trade Byron and our next 2 2nd round picks for him. Extend Ramsey immediately in the same fashion we extended Zeke. We dont seem to know what to do with our 2nd round picks anyway.

Multiple teams have been linked to Ramsey in recent days, but Kansas City Chiefs, Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans rank among the most serious.

The Chiefs remain in pursuit of improvement on their defense, aiming to match the potency of their offense and position themselves to win a Super Bowl.

Seattle also seeks additional help in its secondary while trying to return to the ranks of the NFC’s elite.

There are some high-ranking members of the organization who do want Marrone and Ramsey to reconcile and for the team to make a strong push to retain the cornerback, a second person familiar with the situation told USA TODAY Sports, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak on behalf of the franchise. But Marrone and team vice president Tom Coughlin are said to view Ramsey as a growing distraction. If they could secure two first-round picks, they could see that as a bounty worth taking.

Could we afford to pay Byron and Ramsey? Byron is due his payday and the smart move would be to extend Ramsey immediately to reduce his cap hit.

The Eagles already have major cap problems in 2020. Signing Ramsey would be a huge problem for them in the future. Of course he could get them to the SB this year.

I disagree. They’re way more than one player away. They’ve got issues on the offensive and defensive lines as well, and a quarterback made of glass. Ramsey takes them from a 9-7 team that gets to the wildcard round (maybe) to an 11-5 team who gets bounced in the divisional round.

I'd rather have Byron for 10 mil/season than Ramsey for 22 mil/season.

WE value Jourdan Lewis. Kid is a baller and one of my favorite players.

I don’t know if the team does. Just saying if they plan to let him walk after next year, might as well get something.
