I’m really irritated by the hypocrisy of Gregory on the roster while Charlton is gone

it makes no sense imo. From how I interpret the situation(based off my interpretations of Stephen Jones statements on the matter), Gregory hasn’t even applied for reinstatement. That fool probably still wants to get those last highs before he stands before Goodell. If the franchise felt like they couldn’t trust or depend on Charlton to be there for the team and released, how the heck is Gregory still associated with the team. What kind of message does that send to the lockerroom and more importantly, the fan base.

It sends the message that if you’re a pouty and whiney little self entitled slacker, you’re not going to skate by on potential and be a part of something special. It proves that if you’re not a team guy or a guy that your teammates can’t respect, you're not going to be part of the Championship team!!!

Randy gregory is a dog on the field and has talent for days.

Taco is a little wuss.. not many soft players in dallas now a days. And the coaching staff is keeping it that way. Nothing worse than a punk on the field.

Gregory will be welcomed back with open arms.

It sends the message that some players have mental problems and the team will support them. Those mental problems are not the players fault and they didn’t choose to act like a fool. They couldn’t help it. It also sends the message that a player making a willingful choice to act like a fool and conduct themselves in a manner that hurts the team by being lazy, disrespectful to the coaches and displaying a terribly immature attitude will not be tolerated on this team. My portion of the fanbase appreciates the team knowing the differences between the two problems and we appreciate that the team recognizes the real problem player and sent his packing.

Gregory has generational talent, bend, and is quick around the edge. Capable of 12+ sacks a year if he’s on the field. (Had 6 in like 8 games).

Taco is not that talented, too stiff, and is slow off the ball. 3-5 sacks at best (IF he ever figures it out)
If weed smoking passes in the next CBA, they’ll get a potential probowl RE for cheap in Gregory. (Gregory won’t have much leverage and they’ve stood by him when he should’ve been out of the league).

Fair or not, that’s the difference.

I’m going to guess that taco and Gregory are different cases completely. Yes, Gregory is more talented. But from the looks of it, Taco is a bad teammate. And apparently isn’ta hard worker. Those are two no no’s.

If they could have cut Gregory to make a spot for Quinn maybe they would have cut him over Taco.
They want Gregory. They didn't want Taco. So your statement sounds pretty silly given ALL the facts.

The only reason Taco isn't here is because of the 53 man roster. If Taco was on IR he wouldn't have been cut either.
Do you really think if they wanted him they wouldn't stuff him on the IR? They've done it before with a healthy player.

Man, I just don't care much about either right now. Why? Because neither is suiting up for the Cowboys. They just don't enter my line of thought.

And suspended again several weeks later.

My point was if Gregory was taking up a spot on the 53 he would be cut. You also left out the fact that Taco didn't want to be with the Cowboys. It could just be as simple as the player that wanted to be on the team is, and the player that didn't want to be on the team isn't.

Just bottom of the roster churning, nothing to see here.

Jerry's the kind of guy that would be reluctant to cut a guy like Gregory, if on the 53, but that isn't the case.
If that was the case, I can see the son and the almost-GM telling him he's a waste of a roster space.
