Why demanding a blowout is silly

Typically I would agree with you, however, a good portion of the Dolphin roster has already given up.

Dallas is too good to let a team this void of talent and effort hang around at home.

Good point. The NFL has historically mostly avoided the scourge of teams tanking for the top pick in the draft. Without a lottery to protect it from happening, it may become a future issue.
I think in Cap era it’s actually a good move tanking and trading for all of the first round picks. Fastest way to turn it around. Cowboys in 1989 were first team to do it. And that was before Cap era.

Raiders and Gruden basically did it last year. Browns a couple years ago.

This year feels different. In past years I would say yeah sure as long as we win. However this season.. we better stomp miami. I want at least 3 tds and a strong defensive showing.

I want a blowout! I'm not saying the team sucks or we're doomed if we don't get it, but I want a blowout:flagwave:
 now as far as being silly, Bob. You call me silly one more time and I'm coming for you and hell's coming with me, you hear me Bob, hell's coming with me:laugh:

I care much more that the team come out healthy than a blowout win.

100. Getting out guys out to early is more important to me than winning by the spread. The Dolphins are beyond bad, if were up by 14+ in the fourth sit our key guys.

I would be betting against the Cowboys with this spread.

Nailed it. The Dolphins are an NFL team with NFL players. I’ll be happy as long as we get to 3-0, style points be damned.
Most of those players wouldn’t be NFL players if it was not for the Dolphins.

Take a bow Bobby........to see some posters suggesting better win by 40 or 50 points is absolute BS. They forget there's an unspoken code of respect among NFL coaching fraternity and means not running up the score. If becomes obvious we are dominating the Dolphins and up by 25-30 points, look Garrett to start pulling back a bit.

Garrett will pull back, but the Patriots have not shown mercy since the hoodie took over.

All I want is a 1-point win and no significant injuries.

We need 12 wins to earn the bye we need. I really don’t care if they aren’t all pretty like the last 2 games.

Yeah,well,,,er,,,ya know?
Most, if not the overwhelming majority of our forum's fellow brethren, are fully expecting,,,er,,,if not down right demanding the issuance of a soundly dispensed thrashing upon this scheduled foe's casing-liner of misfortune's Alignment,,, therefore, perhaps & maybe ,,,you really ought'ta be trying harder with that whole "gettin' along & onboard with the ongoing program and come on in fer' that big win,,,Broughamo_O

If we just approach a blowout, we'll bench the starters and save 'em for the tough teams!
Without a doubt, this would help our cause in the long run! Think about that, OK?

I want a good win where I never feel like the fins are in the game. Our team has played down to teams how many times... left teams hanging in till the end and wind up losing.

I want to come out healthy and give our first team good reps to gel, especially on Defense. I want to see our rotational players get reps. I want to see our backups get reps and see if we have some that plays best when the game is on and maybe earning some reps with the first team..

This is a NFL team and the players are competitive and don’t like losing. There FO maybe wanting to tank but I doubt the players are buying into it after 2 games..

Blowout would be nice but I don’t expect it after what the pats did last week. And if we don’t win by a bigger margin don’t mean we are not better than the pats. Lol
