What I like about Witten is he points out the blitzers to the QB every time. Not that Dak or Romo needed the blitzers to be pointed out but it helps with communications.

Against the Dolphins Witt pointed out the blitzer. Dak told Witten, "no don't worry about him." Dak had Zeke pick up the blitzer and threw the ball to Witten. Beautiful communications.

Defense has to play him honest, which is a strong compliment considering his age and with our other WR's. Enjoy this season he has been one of the greats to play for the boys.

I saw a lot of posts being negative about Jason Witten coming back before the season started.

To me he looks to be playing great and seems to fit in very well with what we are doing this year.

Hard to disagree with that take.

This is going to be his best season in eight seasons how do you say he gets 12 touchdowns this season

Two of my favorite plays today involved Witten ..

The first one was when Dak rolled out and Witten was on a short out route. In years past (likely due to Linehan's offense) he would just slow down as he got closer to the sideline to provide Dak with an option if nothing else was available. Instead, for the first time in years, he turned and ran up the field and Dak threw a perfect pass for a long gain. The reason Witten's YAC have been lower in recent years is that he would (or the offense called for him to) turn and sit on a lot of routes which makes it easy for the defensive backs to close and tackle. While I don't hope to see him running long post routes, it's nice that the defense will now have to respect both the turn-back-and-sit and the turn-up-and-go options for him as it will make the defensive backs a little more hesitant than they usually are when he's in front of them.

The other play was the one where Dak rolled out and Witten cleared the lane as the defense stayed with him. The old Dak would have seriously considered forcing that ball to Witten, but he instead pump-faked and ran into the end zone.

I am glad Moore and Dak are not making Witten a primary focus given the other talent on the offense, but it's nice to see Witten expanding his normal repertoire to help this team when needed.

I love him in about a 60-70% role. I hope he wants to play next year as well. I’d love to see him break a bunch of records and possibly get a super bowl.

I think it was a Monday night game against Philly. Dak Prescott pulls A clastic Tony Romo spin out. Hits Jason Witten for the touchdown.

His blocking is A+. They missed that in 2018.
