people can keep talkin' stats, ..but from my own eyeball test, Cobb is bringing that physicality and run after the catch/take it to the house ability that
was being compared to the departed Cole Beasley. His catch radius and range is bigger than what was observed with Beasley.

and I don't think we could get away with using Beez on jet sweeps as we are doing with Cobb, (which I also like that Kellen is selective with jet sweeps, not an overuse_)

Cobb and Beasley are night and day different players. Cobb actually brings YAC ability at the slot. Beasley never offered much of that during his tenure here. I say all this as someone that likes Beasley.

I think we got an absolute FA steal considering what we paid for him.

No, what’s BS is the fact Connor sucks and is starting. We need to hope something happens to cause a change. I’d rather have Sua’filo in there.
Starting to think your right. Willams played ok but is the weak link. I think Collins had a penalty to. Not that there is a good time for a penalty but we seem to always get them when it takes back a huge play or kills a drive...

That holding call looked weak too from the angle they showed on TV. I didn’t see a hold.
You get called for that when you don’t move your feet and have to block from the side. At some point somebody needs to put their foot down and admit the kid ain’t ready yet.

Our offense is undoubteably better this year. These positions have shown marked improvement in production:

QB
RB1
RB2
WR1
WR2
TE1
TE2

The absolute only position that hasn't? Slot receiver.
Actually declining from 42 YPG to 39 YPG

Cherry picked stats are not stats
He posted both the with and without penalty stats.

Coaches definitely grade players on that they accomplished on plays that were called back by penalty. If a player failed on a play but it was covered up by a penalty on someone else, the coaches still ream the play for that play regardless of the penalty.

LMAO.
so, 3 yards over 3 games...where Cooper is on the team 100% of the games so far this year.
go look at Bease's game log once Amari showed up last year. he averaged 36.33 YPG after Cooper came over. and that was before Gallup was the threat he's been through 2 games.
the slot WR isn't needed as much when you have a legit #1 and a legit #2, neither of which were present until Cooper was traded for last year. surely you can understand this.

it wasn't a great call (tho i can see why it was made). but it was a great play by Cobb regardless. Bease could never.

Randall Cobb 2019 stats: 11 receptions, 116 yards, 1 touchdown
Randall Cobb 2019 stats (w/plays lost to penalties): 15 receptions, 226 yards, 2 touchdowns

Kind of a bummer, he's had a couple big catches called back already. I appreciate what he is bringing though. Big upgrade.
Great start but penalty's, most of them, contributed to the positive big play, holding etc would never have happened without the foul.. so you cant lean on those.. they never happened..:))

it doesn't negate the fact Cobb made a great catch and a great playe after the catch tho.

The NFL desperately wants to make Miami appear competitive in games. They've had special meetings trying to find a way to "force" Miami to be competitive.

I have no doubt that the refs are going to attempt to "help" Miami be competitive.

It seemed that all of the penalties on the Cowboys nullified a score or a 3rd down conversion. I have not looked to see the specifics but that was the case on at least 3 penalties that I recall.

I'm not saying there is a conspiracy against the Cowboys. It will likely happen to all of the Miami opponents to some extent.
