"If Dak doesn't have NFL quality players around him, he's an average QB". LOL, what a doofus.
Funny to me thats the narrative. If Dak does good its everyone else. No one wants to give him the credit for the work he put in. As long as the team leader is disrespected I think the team follows him with the same mentality. Keep doubting and hating. I have a good feeling about this year

Pretty much every successful QB needs a weapon or two in order to be successful
Every successful QB needs an efficient playbook and OC, or HC who calls that efficient playbook. You put in Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Air-hole Rodgers, or Mahommes into the archaic offense Linehan and Garrett pigeonholed Dak into, you wouldn’t have jack squat!

After 3 games, we see that our QB is now putting up big time numbers. This will will fluctuate, but damn, he’s a pure example of talent and scheme coming together.

Just unfortunate that we waisted 3 yrs of Dak, ran Zeke hard, and everyone else to make up for Jerry, Stephen, Garrett, and especially Linehan’s 90’s, ancient, BS!

This type of arguement only seems to apply to Dallas Cowboys. I’ve never heard anyone criticize Steve Young, Joe Montana, Jerry Rice or any other player because they had too much talent around them. Yet, Emmitt gets this treatment and now Dak. I guess it’s just unfair when Dallas builds a strong overall team with talented skill position players. I got news for this joker, Dallas does have Zeke and Cooper and Dak is playing lights out. Deal with it!

And with them, he is what? Because they are both there. He ain't handing off to Alfred Morris and throwing the ball to Deonte Thompson next week.

Strange analysis. Most observers of Cowboys Football wish Dak would utilize his legs more, not less. His instinct is in no way to take off and run.

I would agree that Dak would struggle without both Zeke and Cooper in the lineup. Which is likely a big reason why we locked up Zeke and are attempting to lock up Coop.

that's true. any QB is going to struggle without good players around them. with that said, I think the key and the argument is when you do have good, great players around you, then expectations are to produce at Elite level. I think Dak this year and over the past year has taken steps in that direction. he has grown and improved year to year.....the proof is in the pudding. so far so good. he just needs to continue.

Talent always helps. So does scheme, playcalling, etc.

Watching the packers game reinforces this. Rodgers has talent but the play calling sucked. They didn't have the talent to run the ball and it cost them 2 touchdowns late in the game.

Mahomes has plenty of weapons. Your telling me if he had scrap receivers he would still put up hefty numbers. Vilma is a clown

Dak plays extremely well within the system he's in. He's an outstanding athlete. These alone make him above average.
But he hasn't shown the ability to make the system his own and excel when the system breaks down.
This is why he still has doubters.
But, as Kurt Warner said- he may never need to. The Cowboys are loaded on offense and Kellen Moore finds the open receivers for him with his dissection of opposing defenses.
