Only thing that scares me is them running the ball on us. If we stop the run we win the game.
I think they are more afraid of our running game than we are of theirs. They are 25th in rush yards allowed, we had w RBs go for over 100 yards last week. They may slow the run but my bet is we get 150 and 2 td's.

Barkley put a buck and a quarter on the Cowboys, who still won handily. Kamara is great, but he won't beat this Cowboys team.
Score: 37- 20 Cowboys.

Our O has been needing a test. And here she comes!!!!!

The Saints snuck up to 14th rated D in the NFL last season, 2nd vs the run, and then added Malcolm Brown and Mario Edwards, both valuable rotation guys.

Look, it’s not fair if you start using real facts here. You have to give some sort of notice before you do that.

This place is more about hunches and feelings and stuff like that. Now go regroup and try again.

My overwhelming sense about this week's game against the New Orleans Saints is Curiosity. I am not particularly afraid the Cowboys will lose the game, but simultaneously would not be totally shocked if they do.

The Cowboys are playing a capable team in their own home field, captained by a former 1st round pick Quarterback with winning experience in the NFL. Bridgewater has an 18-12 record as a starter in the NFL, and has thrown for more touchdowns than interceptions. This Saints team should have been the NFC representative in last year's Superbowl, so they have more talent than their injured QB. They are a legitimate contender, even with Brees sidelined, and Bridgewater starting in his place. And the Saints are very motivated to avenge the embarassing loss they experienced last year at the hands of a rising Dallas team.

On the other hand, the Cowboys ARE a rising team. And all indications from the team are that they are still on the rise, and are much better this year than last year's team that dealt the loss to the Saints. Despite the hand-wringing by some fans, outside a couple of garbage time touchdowns, the defense is giving up only 10 points per game during the competitive phase of the game, and the offense is putting up triple that amount. This would be a tough game for the Saints to win even with Drew Brees still in the lineup.

So, my predominant feeling going into Sunday is curiosity. I want to know just how good this Cowboys team really is. And it will also be illuminating to find out just how good this Saints team is. Are they still the team that was one blown pass interference call away from being in the Super Bowl? Are they still really the class of the National Football Conference? Or have the Cowboys eclipsed the Saints, as the odds makers in Las Vegas seem to believe?

Inquiring minds want to know...
I agree with you totally. I want to know how we stack against a true contender. They still have a good offensive line with Guys like Armstead and Ramczyk and the center they have. They have a great RB and very good WR. The defense has guys like Kiko Alonzo., Cam Jordan and Davenport . They have alot of talent. They hardly ever lose at home since Sean Payton has been there. I want to see how we look vs a very talented team in their house and see how we fight and respond to adversity if there is any. We will see on Sunday.

With Brees out, it's strength against strength and weakness against weakness - our O vs. their D, and their O vs. our D. We should win. Could lose, but losing would be on us.

It's always possible that a defense "figures out" Moore, but I don't think so. Most of what he's doing is simply sound general strategy. It's not a gimmick. It's what you do if you're serious about winning.

A possible achilles heel for us in this game are our DTs. Poor health means we have little in the middle. If NO gets their run game going, behind their very good oline, maybe they just run us over. It has happened before. And it's happened before simply by scheme, not health, during the Colts debacle. Can a good team replicate that?

I have to go along with Clubber Lang's prediction, we have improved drastically on Defence, we can rely on our secondary and we have a helicopter gunship at middle linebacker, I can see Elliott pilling up 180 yards+, I think we are going to just eat up ground and clock with the run game. I think we are going unbeaten into the NE game. T
This time it's different.

The Saints victory over the Seattle was improbable but happened because they scored two TD’s before they scored a single offensive point.....which didn’t happen until 42 seconds before the end of the 1st half

The Saints got cheap TD’s all game long. Most teams win when they get three turnovers and then add the punt return.

The Saints were punting all game long and the Seahawks doubled their offensive yardage.

The Cowboys have a chip on their shoulder and want to show the world this season is different. The Cowboys will still do a few dumb things but I think they won’t let it get away from them, they will win big.

Not being a homer, I had no trouble in the past predicting a loss.

I would never underestimate the Saints in their own house. Sure they look bad now but they are a well coached team. Are the 'Boys a well coached team? Debatable. Talent wise we have an edge but it's not a chasm. It is exactly the test this team needs though. Close game, too close for me to call.

The Cowboys are the better team coming into a hostile environment which ought to even the odds for everyone. It will be a battle but the matchups favor the Cowboys. Cowboys O > Saints D.

Good gauge of the team...

Tough environment

A team that is a year removed from the NFCCG

I fully expect us to win this game by 2 touchdowns after going through a bit of a jab fest to start

I just hope we get off to a fast start and don’t let teddy just game manage this game and stick around late

I think the game gets away from either team. I could see a 13 point win for Dallas or a 10+ point loss.

I see this as a test for our talented roster. One, this is a game where we have to have a 'refuse to lose' attitude. NO will scratch and claw to win this contest. Payton will have his troops ready, with a few surprises in store for us.
Our coaches will have to step up. They need to show that in a game where having the best talent isn't enough, they can get get us in position to pull it out.
Ol Idgit is right. If we're a contender to go further in the playoffs, this is the type of games we have to win.
i agree totally..we must have a refuse to lose attitude on every single play....as though every play was life or death...and take no prisoners we execute everyone on the field....where the Saints leave tonight feeling crushed mind body and spirit
