As most have observed this looked a lot like last years RAM game. But I see some effects that are related to what transpired from training camp.
1. The injuries and surgeries that kept players from practicing though training camp is showing up on the OL and DL.
2. Those reps that Zeke missed during training camp are showing up in his running game. He just runs into the piles without looking for other routes.
3. Back to last years RAM game, the book was written by the Rams to run up the middle of our DL as we have NO real run stopping DTs.

PS
The coaching had no answer for stopping the Saints Defense. Even with the points mentioned above, we still could have won with some coaching changes. Well I hope they learned something from the coach who out coached them Sunday night.:(

I can agree with 1 and 3, but not 2. Zeke has been running the football since high school, he doesn't need camp to look for holes, that's mostly instinct and experience. He ran into piles because he thought there would be holes, as there usually is, have to trust your linemen. But they let him down, and the play calling (back to normal) was poor. How many times did they call for an outside run? Heavy pass rush but NO designed runs for Dak, he had 1 carry and that was because no one was open (which was the case all night, except for Witten, who fumbled his only real chance to get a long gain for the entire team).

Moore choked, facing Payton, he got nervous and got way too conservative. When Cooper was bottled up by Lattimore, where were passes past the line of scrimmage to Zeke? Where was Austin, he of the supposedly great quickness? Didn't help that Cobb had the dropsies, or that Dak missed the td throw to Cobb (though he was under pressure, but should have thrown the pass with more air, Cobb had good separation, too no need to fire the ball in, but I will give Dak a break there, so few open receivers all night, suspect he got so excited he over-threw it.

But as usual, the loss fell to coaching...

The Cowboys gave up 12 points.

Complaining about the defense is not smart.

This team was just out coached! as we look around the league we saw the first few weeks the Cowboys looked so good but they just didnt play anybody and eventually a teams true identity is revealed. This is the same team its been for years just a little more talented. Teams dont change completely after one season unless a whole new coaching staff and head coach are brought in to change the culture. Garrett evidently didnt scheme any trick plays or try much from the norm to get things going. Ive always said Garrett is a lazy coach that doesnt believe in changing the game plan and adapting. Why wasnt Cooper moved around more to get Lattimore off of coverage. Why wasnt Jarwin used more after he made a nice play to get open down field. 10 points is just pathetic and they deserved to lose.
I dont know whats going on with Zeke but he was slow and worthless out there last night. Is he a drinker or likes to sit down an eat a box of crispy creme donuts.

1. we were out-coached. Not just Garrett, but both line coaches need to go.. When your double teams get whipped and you can't block a sweep, it's time for a change. When you get no pressure up the gut, Teddy is going to beat you.
2. Zeke is not the same as he was in 2016, first three steps are slower. There is no explosion out of his stance, even compared to Pollard.
3. JW needs to be the second TE, there is no need to worry about the middle when he is in the game they cover him with one player and no need for deep help.

I have much more, but I'm tired.

Lets face it, the first three games were our training camp against practice teams. The Saints showed the Cowboys what a real NFL team looks like WITHOUT their starting QB!!!
If the first three games were our training camp then why blame missed time in training camp? Oh and by the way you don't stop a defense you counter them.

Just saying.

We can stop NO of, but they eat the clock with long drives.
We ran only inside/out zone, no traps, no readzone, no rpo, no bootlegs, dont help our Ol.
Zack Martin had a bad game, Witten need to go,
