Lol, sports fans are unbelievable sometimes. First there is reality then the delusional fan where blowout losses are now equal to 2 points. How 50% of this fan base is acting it's as if we just started 0-4, and got blown out by a playoff caliber team by 30 points.
I know you're not really surprised. Our fan base is a melting pot.

Nobody expects the Cowboys to go 16-0, but every time the team loses it's like the season came to an end. Every...Single...Time.

No loss is good...but now they see that they can't waltz to victory every week. They need to use this as a wake up call..Get pissed and go out and pound GB. lets see how they bounce back..Nothing better than smacking AAron and the Pack around. Time to man up and show last night was just a fluke.
Yep. It was actually perfect timing.

It'll get them off of their high horses & back to some real work/focus.

All the while... We are still atop the division. Great timing.

The big issue to me was the offense in the 1st half. We looked like the cowboys of old with predictable runs up the middle and then passes on 2nd down. None of the creativity we exhibited before. Zeke looked like he was running in a tar pit... didn't try to spice it up with speed by getting Pollard out there. It's like the confidence to call a creative offensive gameplan against a challenging defense evaporated and we went with that 'same ol'. That's not going to get it done. I don't know if Garrett took over play-calling the first half of this game or what, but I really don't want to see that sorry offense again.
Bingooooooo.

Me personally... I think Garrett takes playing Sean Payton personal due to their history. I think Garrett snuck his nose into those offensive meetings this week and butted in where he should have stayed butted out.

This is not a loss on Dak...This is a lost on coaching, pure and simple. Playing not to lose and not playing to win will always get you beat with a good to great team
with a great HC. That is why Dallas can have a stable of good to great players yet will never will it all in the playoffs. Garrett knows how to lose to the great coaches
of the NFL.

I can't really put any of this on our defense because, while some might say they played less than expected, they held NO to 12 pts and kept them out of the end zone.

This was Kellen Moore's 1st real litmus test. It's time to get back in the lab with Dak & regroup.

I'm actually encouraged by this because everyone on that offensive staff needed to feel this and it better to feel it early vs later in the season.

We needed more safety valve passes out of the backfield tonight. That would have kept NO from pinning their ears back. Where was Pollard? Much of this is on Kellen. He will snap back.

"Try to relax. Take a deep breath." This sounds like something Jerry says to one of the strippers on the fun bus. Do homers not see troubling trends? Like how this team goes offensively when they cannot run between the tackles. This felt very familiar, not fluky.

Also troubling is the game plan put together by the staff and the players to communicate plays and changes of plays at the line of scrimmage when they know it will be difficult to hear. Pointing fingers at one group is always easy and closed minded. Plenty of blame to go around, to coaches and players (including the QB).

Oh..& btw... Our JV level head coach got outcoached again.

It felt like a Garrett influenced game. I wonder if he inserted himself more this week. For the 1st 3 games we saw so much pre-snap motion and creativity. We saw zero last night ...

Hmmmmmmmm

Just sit back & clap clown. Let the creative minds do the heavy lifting.

My two cents have been deposited. Happy Monday folks!

I wonder how much of the offensive simplicity was due to crowd noise. Dungy said it would be a HUGE factor and it was. Not having Gallup hurt a ton too.

I am not sure why we insist on running between the tackles and not off tackle.

I feel the same...lose at home Sunday and that will be a different story. The biggest issue is going from a HOF left tackle to a below average left tackle, scares the %#$ out of me, and it should Dak as well...

Have you noticed in games when Dak doesn't take off with the ball they usually lose? He has to be a part of this running and bootleg scheme. That offense last night was just slow and boring, and it looked like they brought the Linehan playbook with them.

Agree.

We want teams playing 8 man vs Zeke.

Opens up passing game.

Unless you are Dak.

lol. So Dak completing 71.4% with Cooper on the field last season, and completing 74% of his passes prior to this game was a mirage, this game was the real Dak? Awesome.

Mistakes happened, and in a close game like that it only takes one. Cobb dropped a first down. Elliot rumbled in a first down. Witten fumbled on a first down. Playcalling was lame and not aggressive at all. No deep shots in the first half...
