Witten is slow and just isn’t the play maker he use to be

I’ve seen enough Witten is slow and just isn’t the play maker he use to be. Blake is a lot more athletic and with Gallup gone we need guys who can go down field and make plays. Witten can go out and make a few plays here or there as he has shown a few times this year but Blake should be the starter. Everyone is going to say but Blake can’t block well neither can Witten any more. Seen Witten coming around to block several times and he is so slow EE leaves him in a cloud of dust so Witten is no longer sealing the end and EE is running into defensive players. I’ve always been a Witten fan but he is nothing more than a role player now it’s sad but true.

Witten still makes plays, but Jarwin needs 50/50 snaps. he could've been the difference tonight.

Yes Witten is good for a play here or there as a role player but my point is he is not at a starting level anymore.

Perhaps keeping an opposing defense honest, and at least equal passing/running plays on first down. Add back in play-action and screens and keep defenses more on their heels. Even solid one!

Play action didn’t work last night because the line got ***** smacked and didn’t open holes. Zeke had no where to run, so playaction would’ve got dak killed.

Why is t this team smart enough to adjust quickly? The year manning won his first ring, they were down to n e. They exploited the matchup with Dallas Clark in the 2nd half and came back.
Cooper was grabbed every play and nothing got called. That meant he wasn’t going to get open. No Gallup, so we couldn’t exploit apple. Jarwin should’ve been featured just to see who would cover him consistently.

That's surprising to me because Witten seems to have picked up where he left off. He fumbled, true. But other than that he has made first downs and still has soft hands.

He looks better to me than he did in 2017. He made a huge play and then fumbled it. It happens.

I agree. Witt might be slower, but he's still getting open and still pretty much catching everything. Fumble aside, he still caught the ball in stride and even got some YAC. Witt is still Witt, but that fumble was huge.

I agree that JW looks better and can still be good for short yardage, but Jarwin can make big plays. The way the Saints were playing D last night using BJ intermediate and deep middle would’ve loosened up the NO defense IMO.

Please stop! He got hit from behind. It was a good defensive play. The dude gets open period. People jump ship like crazy around here.

Jason Witten and Blake Jarwin are sitting on a hill watching practice. Blake Jarwin turns and says, "let's run down there and catch one of those footballs." Jason Witten says, "No. Let's walk down there and catch them all."

Yeah, one big pass to Jarwin to set up a score and then he disappeared. The middle seam was ripe to be exploited last night, but it was one of those nights.
