Losing Gallup was a lot bigger deal than anyone realizes. He seems to be Dak’s go to guy and security blanket. I believe him being out was a significant factor against the Saints.

Gallup is a legit player. Almost as significant already as Amari is. In fact I could see the team saving Amari’s cap hit after this year and making Gallup the feature WR.

I don't know if this is 100% true but when we play a good team it seems like Cooper doesn't always show up. He'll eat vs a weaker team. Not sure if that's a $20 million dollar WR. I feel like Gallup is more important and is under used and is very underrated.

Not having a real HC hurts far more. See the reference to Brady for proof. Billy B isn't given the best receivers every year, but he's able to coach up what he has and makes them appear far better than they might actually be.

That loss had absolutely nothing to do with Gallup not on the field. It was an uncharacteristic game for our Boys.

The team’s creative playcalling by Moore, was suddenly unimaginative, predictable and resembled something along the lines of a Linehan offense.

On top of that, the team also surrendered some costly turnovers in the first half of the game that stalled the offense further. We as fans can only hope that ugliness doesn't continue when GB comes to town.

Remember, they're off a bye and I'm sure Rodgers will try very hard on continuing to own the Cowboys by not having a back-to-back loss.

Gallup and Cooper augment one another to, at least, some extent. When both are available and performing well, it tends to lessen the degree of attention on the other. I think Cooper was under pressure Sunday, due to the amount of attention that was available by the Saints secondary with Gallup missing. I'll be relieved to see Gallup return to the lineup whenever his health allows. With both being there, it's almost like having two #1 WRs, imho. I don't recall hearing anything of Devin Smith in Sunday night's game.

and yet Brady, year after freakin year, puts up big numbers with receivers that no one puts on their fantasy teams......

something about Brady. It’s something new every year. Elite defense, setting passing records, they win with nobodies. He’s a different breed

It was pretty clear the first two weeks of the season that Gallup had become a number 1 receiver. I think the team needs to think long and hard before giving Cooper the moon. It very well mean losing Gallup in 2.5 years.

sure it hurt but missing one player shouldn't not shut down and offense(they didnt have brees, umm yea).. they simply didnt execute, had Tos, Penlatys, and couldn't block for the run or create a rg etc etc plenty of blame..

I think they missed an opportunity to be more creative for whatever reason, didnt try and use pollard more with zeke and try and misdirection RPOS and make the defense back off and then use the PA passes.. we were one dimensional and because 2018 for whatever reason..

all that and we lost by 2 on the road...

just abd game Gallup helps a lot but that wasnt the issue sunday night..we self destructed and didnt put forth our best effort..

We really need him back. Discouraging to hear that it seems like it'll be another week or two. He really looked like our top receiver those first 2 weeks.

Knowing how Jerry is inclined to rush his thinking about injured players returning, I'm not necessarily counting on Gallup to be available, although, I'd like nothing better than to see it happen. At least, it's mildly encouraging to see that it's even being considered. ;)

I'm not making excuses for Dak or other QBs, but it's not like Brady does it alone. He's the best ever, but he also has the benefit of the best coach ever.

Their defense is as good as it gets. Brady played terrible in the Superbowl but still got the win. He threw a season ending pick against the chiefs that was wiped out because a guy lined up offsides and had no impact on the play.

It's got more to do with this:

Had Moore called week 4 like he did week 1-3 the offense would have performed differently.

Yeah moss was no one. Brandon cooks. Gronk. The 1st and 2nd round receivers they've drafted. Patriots have definitely tried to put good receivers out there for Brady.

#facts. You could see the offense slow down starting with Mia. We have to be able to adjust with injury though. We just got beat by a back up QB but Gallup makes a world of a difference. Makes it harder to sneak extra defenders in the box. He'll also abuse any corner not playing Coop. Hopefully he has a speedy recovery.

Firstly Gronk and Moss only played one season together and Brandon Cook only played one measly year. The point is that he doesnt have high profile #1,2, and 3 receivers in his seasonal corp. He takes the Whiteheads and Amendolas and makes stars out of them. Dakota needs much, much more and putrid defenses to get his shine on........Now Gallup is compared to Gronk and Moss, some of yall go too far with the comedy
