“Obviously we’re very disappointed. … Let’s give them some credit. Their defense was the biggest concern for me coming in. They did a great job. They won a hard fought game. But they won it with a good scheme, good coaching,” Jones said, via The Athletic

As the team’s leader of men, Garrett ultimately shoulders the responsibility. He’s credited when Dallas stacks the dubs, and should be equally panned when they’re mauled for 60 minutes.

Say what you want about Jones — he’s correct. The Cowboys were outphysicaled, outplayed and outcoached by Sean Payton. This was not as close as the score suggests. One team wanted it bad, the other just plain performed badly.
This snip from the article nails it. Big time.

This game reminded me exactly of the meeting last season... I swear I thought I was watching a rerun of it, minus Brees. the only difference, was THEY got up on our butts and laid the wood on us, of course a little "help" from the zebras couldn't hurt either. It's all good, it's over and done with, lets get ready for that other smug butted team. I'm betting, we show up big and take this loss out on that team... just my opinion on it.

What a misleading headline.
Jerry crediting the saints coaching for their victory (and he credited everything else) is not the same as Jerry blaming JG.

This is garbage reporting at its worst.
Click bait.
That's the news for ya these days.

I agree with Jerry’s assessment. The Saints defense was the key in the game.

They stacked the line intent to stop Elliott and forcing Dak and passing offense to beat them over the top. It’s a proven scheme.

That’s doesn’t mean we had poor coaching on our end. Their scheme was effective and worked.

I mean, it kinda is.

This is clickbait, but giving the other team's coach credit is pretty damning of your own staff.
I certainly didn’t interpret it that way. I think only those who had that agenda going in are looking for anything to support their narrative.

Jerry’s comments accurately and pretty well are the consensus in evaluating the Cowboys loss. The Saints defense was the difference.

I think even a casual observer would know better than to persist in making Zeke crash into the Saints DL all afternoon! That was plain stupid.

Not only that.

Tony Pollard's skill set to compliment Zeke would've helped out too.

They could've stretched the defense out with some sideways stuff through the air and on the ground.

Instead we got North and South football.

Garrett is done. He kind of looked like a helpless passenger on Sunday night to the point where I almost felt bad for him. Jerry set this up by keeping Garrett but empowering the coordinators. He should have just done the merciful thing and fired Garrett instead of trying this experiment with semi-autonomous coordinators. That said, it sure seems that this experiment is about to end. I know Jerry would love to get his hands on Payton.

I agree for the most part but I wouldn't blame the refs. They were calling ticky tack stuff all night and most of it was going against NO. If the refs held their flags, New Orleans beats Dallas by more.
