Teams have played better competition than us and have looked as good or better than is is my point. Not like I'm counting us out just pointing out the obvious.
I'd like to just point out that we have the 5th rated offense, the #1 rated QBR QB, the 5th leading rusher and 7th rated defense in the NFL. So I don't know what team you've been watching but if you don't think the Cowboys have been playing like a top 8th team like you said, then you haven't been watching the Cowboys.

The way I see this Packers game is its just another prove it game. So far Dallas is 0-1 in these type of games. Im still not sold on this team with Zeke looking slow and this team unable to run or pass last week. Dak needed to roll out last week and get rid of the ball quickly and he did for one drive and then he went right back to holding the ball to long. This team lacks explosion on offense. There is nobody that can make big plays down the field. Cooper isnt doing it! I cant remember the last time Zeke out ran a CB for a long TD. The only guy that has done much of lately is Jarwin and he has been replaced with a slow old Jason Witten. Some things never change.
Emmitt never outran the defense either. So what?

I'll never understand fans' obsessions with these stupid "rankings."

This is pro football. They actually get to decide who goes to the playoffs by win-loss records. They actually get to determine who the #1 team is by playing actually games.

Who cares about rankings?
You would if Dallas was ranked 32nd.

Rankings in the NFL really have no meaning except when handicapping teams to wager on establishing spreads.

And of course these silly bragging rights for fans or talking points to support their opinion and or narrative.

The OP learned a valuable lesson. And that lesson was to never believe ANYTHING that comes out of Skip Bayless mouth. Or any talking head for that matter. Now, the OP just needs to learn to stop watching those buttheads all together and his life will be much happier.

Well if you are stupid and get all emotional about their opinions then you'd be right. Otherwise it's an interesting watch especially if you just get the cut down version on YouTube.

Dear fellow fanzone freaks---Skip Bayless on Undisputed just said today Oct, 3 2019
that pro football focus PFF power ranking for this week ranked Dallas Cowboys #1
in all of pro football even though they lost against Saints...folks...this makes sunday's
game against Packers the most important so far in early part of season and the most
important game of Dak's young career in my lowly opinion...because real good or elite
teams always bounce back strong after laying an egg clunker the week before...i am not
as worried that Tyron Smith is out because they will put fullback or tightend to help Fleming
and after listening to Moore interview the OC for cowboys...he will have a good game
plan for Packers and i know out O Line who are full of vets and are real stand up group
will have owned their poor play and learned from it and are very eager to meet Packer
defensive line with extra focus and motivation to play good....we got Gallup back too
and Cooper says he feels better than he did last week and Zeke is angry that he fumbled
and put hopes in refs to make right call..."dont leave up to the refs"...Witten dont fumble often
so you know he is extra determined...plus past two games against Pack at Jerry world Rogers
has pulled rabbit out of the hat...all i am saying...and i am not guaranteeing anything...that real
good or elite teams always bounce back with vengeance after being embarrassed the week
before...this game on sunday is so pivotel for Dak the team and Red-ball...this is red balls most
important game of his career...blow this one...its curtains...it may already be curtains after saints game?

Well Skip doesn’t drink, so it must be drugs!

Interesting? I guess if you're looking for some comedy with their ridiculous takes. Then yeah, sure. You can call it an interesting watch.

But Emmitt had the ability to get up to full speed in 2 steps. The other thing about those SB teams is Aikman could hand the ball off 8 times in a row and then throw a strike for first downs. Dak is hot and cold and because if that the team would benefit from a big play guy. Zeke used to make big plays but not so much anymore.
