That's awful. Dak's mom died of cancer in '13 while Dak was a sophomore at Mississippi State. Mrs. Prescott never missed a game.

Unfortunately, she died before seeing her son make it to the NFL. This is why you see Dak point to the sky at times during a game.

As a confirmed Momma's Boy (RIP):
Great on him.

its not where they are at tier wise at this very moment,

its their game, and for sure RW and Dak have similar styles and play the same.. RW has 3-4 more years on Dak and I see the progress as very parallel..thats Daks ceiling should he achieve it....

Dak isnt even close. Wilson gets castoffs and leftover pieces to play with on offense. Dak struggles unless he has all pro's at every position playing perfect ball.

He's such a good kid and class act. Dak was raised right. Dak also wears a different bow tie after each game press conference. All his bow tie proceeds go directly to the Cancer Society in his mom's "Peggy" name.

Dak also has his own Women's parfum where all proceeds go to the Cancer Society as well. I purchased a bottle. It's a wonderful scent.

What an Angel. I truly admire him and so glad he's our qb. The hate some of our fanbase shows toward this young man is despicable.

Never known for being modest, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones believes he's got a quarterback on track to become the next Tom Brady.

During an appearance on 105.3 The Fan, Jones brought up Brady when asked if Dak Prescott is more like Tony Romo or Troy Aikman.

"I think he's more like Brady," he said. "We know Tom Brady and he's not Tom Brady. But he's evolving into a guy that will beat you. I think we got us one in Dak."

From a team that had a history of overestimating the performance of a certain color commentator up until the day he retired, this is not encouraging.

You would be wrong. I've watched all of Brady's years as a pro. I actually live in the city where HIS TEAM won the first Superbowl. As great as Brady is NOW and has been for several years, he wasn't asked to be this Brady when he first took over for Bledsoe. He was a fantastic game manager. Smart. But the Patriots relied alot on their run game and defense early on his career. He didn't have to carry the team like he does now.
I've seen all the games locally and Dak isn't even close to a young Brady a middle age Brady or a geriatric Brady and if you can say he is there is a real disconnect in your memory, as for a game manager that's what Dak tries to be (if he has upper tier players around him) and it has never been what Brady was or is. You are trying to say a QB with 9 Superbowl appearances is a bus driver, come on stop it you can't sell that here. Liking Dak is one thing but some fantasy (just like Jerry's) that Dak is in any way like Brady at this point is just plain unsupported. There is time to tell what Dak is or isn't but at this point the book on Dak from college really hasn't changed much but too compare him to Brady stop it's just too funny. Enjoy the game. The below is a bus driver just like Dak right !!!!!

  • 6× Super Bowl champion (XXXVI, XXXVIII, XXXIX, XLIX, LI, LIII)
4× Super Bowl MVP (XXXVI, XXXVIII, XLIX, LI)
    3× NFL Most Valuable Player (2007, 2010, 2017)
    14× Pro Bowl (2001, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009–2018)
    3× First-team All-Pro (2007, 2010, 2017)
    2× Second-team All-Pro (2005, 2016)
2× NFL Offensive Player of the Year (2007, 2010)
NFL Comeback Player of the Year (2009)
    3× NFL passing yards leader (2005, 2007, 2017)
    4× NFL passing touchdowns leader (2002, 2007, 2010, 2015)
    2× NFL passer rating leader (2007, 2010)
    Bert Bell Award (2007)
Associated Press Male Athlete of the Year (2007)
Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year (2005)
    NFL 2000s All-Decade Team

umm im not asking for your agreement..I say RW was Dak at this point in his career.. hes had 4 more seasons to improve himself but FACT their games are as close as any other comp you can come up with..

OH and I guess Marshann Lynch was scrub LMAO, they had good WRs most of his career, Not elite but when has Dak truly had elite Wr group, they got better the last 18months but never GREAT, so other then a perceived better Oline as a rookie at its best what were Dak advantages as team over RW? Last year they had a RBBC that was one of the most productive in the league in TOTAL, Lockett playing at a PB level and old faithful..

OH and BTW does the best defense this decade in the LOB come to mind and a coaching staff that obviously was better then ours come top of mind.. when has DAK had that..

so no argument right now RW is better then Dak but as a player comp they are very much alike and Daks on that path whether he acheives it or not its how alot of experts see it..

Every player in the NFL is good. Russell never had an elite receiver, rb, and OL, TE, at the same time like Dak has. Their games arent even close. Dak is not an elite runner nor makes amazing passes routinely though hes better this year. Wilson has done both. Dak has good runs when lanes are wide open, wilson has elite ability to make defenders miss, escape and either run or throw a bomb downfield. The talent around dak makes him look better vs wilson makes his lesser talent look better.

no sorry Amaris not Elite, Witten WAS, no more , Dez wasn't either all a shell of themselves and the last time our Oline was simply THE BEST, was 2016..Defense has been all but above average never elite..RW had it better, its why they went to 2 SBs and won one nearly 3 yards away from two..thats the issue here , we have a swollen version of who we actually are..Zekes his forst 3 years was a heartbeat but hey had Lynch..so its a wash. Now that RW has become Elite he can do more with less, Dak may get there soon but once again I said their play ie talent and mannerisms on and off the field are very comparable..

That's your opinion. Mine clearly differs. The oline has been one of the best since before dak was here and continues. But dak has needed better protection than even the best olines can give. Their worst year came when dak holds the ball for 3 seconds so how is that their fault he failed to get rid of the ball in a timely manner. Dez was still really good untill he broke his leg, dak still cant throw a back shoulder pass. But none of it matters you can think what u want and be wrong.
