Then there is no hope because Garrett peaked in 2016.
You’re certainly entitled to your opinion.

My lack of hope rest more with our ownership intention to operate “ socks to jocks” style which prevents us from attracting and or pursuing more proven and experienced HC along with their dysfunctional meddling.

But using the words” no hope” or never reek of a driven agenda, even trolling.

..Im inking them at 7-1 or 6-2 at worst. When this team clicks, they hit on all cylinders. If they can stay healthy, that's the conundrum for the team.

I just have 12 years of proof that Jason doesn't have what it takes to guide this team past the divisional round. Whether that's the Jones' cartel's fault or not is certainly debatable.

It’s a realistic expectation.

We know there will be some losses. Which loss is bigger for us. Egirls or Packers?

Without a doubt, the Eagles. Divisional game. I am a huge believer in excelling in your division, AND playing our best ball in December/January.

Eagles. Packers might be in play for a top 2 seed but to win the division we need to do our best to go 6-0 in the division.

You beat me to that response. 6-0 or 5-1 in NFC East Division. Anything else just won't cut it.

I’ve always argued Garrett is a product of our dysfunctional organization. We’ve had much more qualified and experienced HC in this Puppet role under Jerry with no more success.

I suppose it’s up to fans to decipher if Garrett is making an overall positive contribution to the dysfunctional Mgmt style and culture.

Personally , despite his coaching flaws I see him as a positive contributing factor overall as an influence on Jerry’s instincts.

To know that we truly have turned the corner we have to start winning those games that we are expected to lose which makes the saints game such a failure.

If we lose tomorrow and beat the Jets who are currently 0-3 how confident is anyone going to be that we can beat Philly? If our only wins are against bad teams that are losing to everyone and our only losses are to a couple of playoff contenders that have significant injuries we’re going to struggle to win 10 games. There aren’t going to be many bad teams left on our schedule to pad our record. If we lose to the Packers both Green Bay and New Orleans will hold tiebreakers if it comes down to that.

The Giants are the only team we’ve beaten that have a win on their record and it took them until week three to get that. If we can’t beat playoff contenders that aren’t even at full strength we’re not going to get very far. We just got through losing to a backup QB. The Packers have little at WR with Adams out and their RBs are averaging under 4 yards a carry. If we allow Aaron Rodgers to single-handedly beat us tomorrow this is going to be a long season. There isn’t a player in the league that’s been a bigger thorn in the side of the Cowboys the past decade than Aaron Rodgers. Just look at the QBs we’ve faced so far this season two of them have been benched and the other is a second-year QB on a terrible team who’s going through growing pains. Those are our three wins.

While the Packer game is a good measurement to where we are at this point and how serious a contender in conference the bigger game is looming in a couple weeks heading into our bye.

Win tomorrow but lose against Egirls won’t put us in better shape at midway mark.

Anything less than 5-2 will place our season in jeopardy with a brutal stretch beginning in Week 10.
I don't disagree with your assessment. The next few games will set up the rest of the season to turn good or bad. I'm trying not to look ahead, but that Philly game glows so brightly up the road that I can't help it. I think we have to win this game against the Packers just so we have some tiebreakers against conference foes at the end of the season.

I sold my tickets to this Packer game and the upcoming Eagles game so I could go to our Patriots game in Foxboro. It's one of the last NFL stadiums I have not been to. We have done very well with games that I had tickets to but sold, I'm superstitious like that. So I'm thinking we will be 6-1 going into the bye week.

I believe they're both gone if we don't make it to championship Sunday. I will consider it a small sacrifice if it gets those two dead weights off this team for good.
Your goal is to see Garrett and Marinelli gone, then state they're going if we don't advance in playoffs... So your goal is for us to not make the playoffs...

My goal is a play-off appearance. Marinelli and Garrett have weighed this team down for many years. If it means we don't advance in the play-offs but they get fired, I can live with that.

That's hard to argue with but here I go. Despite conventional wisdom, I believe we will overcome our own coaching conundrum this season. I guess I'm not even offering much of a counterargument other than saying I believe Kellen Moore is our Jason Garrett whisperer.

If the Cowboys lose to the Packers, look for them to lose to the Eagles, as well.
This game vs the Packers will be a huge indication of where this year's team will finish.

11-5. We win the NFCE again.

There is no reason to lose to GB at home when their offense has struggled all year. Run defense is junk and they are missing their best WR. I get the Saints loss even with Teddy because it was on the road and NO is always tough to play. GB is at home. Losing to GB tomorrow would be bad.

Never worry unless you’re literally out of contention before Thanksgiving. Teams turn on the jets for the home stretch every single year and make the playoffs when you don’t expect them to. Most of last year people thought it would the the Skins coming out of the East. And Philly looked far from a WC contender when Wentz went down late. You just can’t tell.

Why do people keep bringing up 2018?

Yes, we came back from a poor start to make the playoffs, but what did we actually accomplish in the playoffs?

The Cowboys need to aim much higher than just winning the division. With the way the NFC is shaping up this year and with the way this team has started the season, the goal should be getting a bye and HFA throughout the playoffs. If we're every going to make noise in the playoffs with this coaching staff we have to decrease the number of playoff games Garrett has to coach and we must prevent our high-powered offense ever having to leave the friendly confines of Cowboys Stadium.

6-1 should be the goal at the bye and honestly 8-1 should be the record heading into Detriot. Anything less would be disappointing.
The sad thing is even if we get HFA I wouldn't be surprised if we lost our first game. This team has done it twice.
