You could make that statement if Garrett had achieved something in the prior years he's been head coach. He hasn't achieved anything of note during his tenure as a head coach, and many people will tell you he helped waste Romo's best years. So yes people can point to Garrett and blame him because he has never won a thing, and last I looked they don't fire entire teams.

It’s about today’s game only. If people are coming to that conclusion based on their one-sided interpretation of his entire career, that’s on them.

The amount of key penalties is almost unbelievable even up to the moment where #76 casually negated a chance to let it come down to an onside kick .
Zero discipline on this team . We got out coached big time . Garett is still costing this team games in 2019 . It’s kind of mind boggling Jerry has been so hard headed in making a change .

For the complete idiots blaming Dak , it’s hard to get going with a holding penalty every other drive .
I mean it went from a 28 yard FG to a 33 yard FG? That negated a “chance”....

Im not a big Garrett fan or apologizing for him but with these new rules and the official's inability to enforce them with any kind of consistency it really makes it tough for any coach to run a totally disciplined team that dosent get penalized. There is just too much different interpretation from week to week .

The rules and officiating are making the game very unwatchable for old school fans that saw football when it was the real game .

That said it was very interesting to see the contrast in play after Garrett showed some genuine emotion on the sideline instead of the usual incessant clapping seemed to light a fire under the teams butt

The Process.....the secret sauce.....the HotBoyz…..I see a 8-8 team right now.....and a QB leaving money (lots of it) on the table.

I wouldn't let JG coach a pop warner team. Talk about living a charmed existence. Any other team and he'd been gone 5 years ago.

He made the fist field goal then penalty forced a re kick that missed . It’s the general lack of discipline , that’s 100% on coaching . Cowboys never seem to be prepared in big games against tough opponents . It’s the usual penalty chaos and crappy game plan.

I am delusional. I thought the lack of execution were on the players. The whole team seemed sluggish to begin the game. The the team kept shooting themselves in the foot. The team has to put this game behind then and get ready for the JETS.
Go Dallas!!!

No I think he's right. I never seen a Tom Landry team come out sluggish or unprepared. They may have been outplayed, or out matched, but never looked unprepared. I've seen it many times under JG. Then out of nowhere just when we think JG is done, he pulls a rabbit out of his hat and the team comes out and wins a game no one expected them to win. That's how JG saves his job.
