Dan Mullen would be my first choice. Dallas has told everyone who will listen that Dak is going to be the QB. If that's the case why not go with the QB Whisperer that's had a ton of success with Dak? Mullen has had a lot of success in the SEC and normally with lesser talent on his roster than the big 4. He's a good offensive mind who coached under Urban Meyer, made Alex Smith the #1 overall draft pick, and helped Tebow to a Heisman. He's been a good recruiter as well and similar to when Pete Carroll arrived in Seattle, he'd bring some first hand knowledge to the war room on draft day. I'd also allow him to bring his staff with Todd Grantham returning to Dallas as the defensive coordinator.

I wouldn’t touch McCarthy with my worst enemies finger. Never I have a seen a coach do so little with so much. It rode AR’s coat tails. He’s made some of the worst coaching decisions I’ve ever seen a la Gruden but Gruden didn’t have the QB or roster to carry him.

Gruden won a Superbowl.

McCarthy sat back and rode the Rodgers express for a decade straight, and his team immediately collapsed whenever his HOF QB was out of the game. He brings nothing to the table besides "stability" and gameplans his NFC North opponents figured out years ago. He's literally the spitting image of Jason Garrett.

Fired coach I like: Jay Gruden. He's not the answer for Dallas, but he's a pretty good OC and led the Bengals when they were at their best. We know his good early-Commanders offenses benefitted from Sean McVay, but his bad Commanders offenses were Mark Sanchez/Colt McCoy led dumpster fires that literally one could have succeeded with. Gruden is a sacrificial lamb for Daniel Snyder's completely toxic organization, and was let go to appease a Washington team that has already given up in October. But he's not necessarily a bad coach.

He’s won a SB and been to two NFCC games. I’ve always thought he had GB prepared well in the playoffs despite not having a whole lot of talent outside of Rodgers. He sat out 2019 but he does want to coach in 2020. I would like a new staff and new philosophy. I would like to see what a proven coach like McCarthy would do with this roster. I’m over the “ fight” and “ relentless” stuff. Garrett may be good enough for the Bengals or Dolphins but he isn’t good enough for the Cowboys. It’s time for a a change.
Eh, assuming Garrett actually gets fired, I'm not sure McCarthy would interest Jerry all that much. He ran a west coast variant offense and 34 defense neither of which I'm figuring Jerry would want to go back to. Someone hit the nail on the head yesterday bringing up Matt Eberflus. He was well respected here by ownership, coaches and players and they wouldn't have to revamp or rebuild the defense.

He rode Rodgers arm to a SB, GMs know this, that is why he is still unemployed!
