First and foremost, I am in New Orleans for the week and will hopefully brighten your week with a photo I took from the 41st floor of the Marriott yesterday evening.
That Canal St and if you closely you'll see the pink, purple, g blue highlights from one side of the Superdome on the right of the tall bldg.
Anyway... About these Cowboys....
Dak:
Y'all know I'm a MAJOR Dak fan but I would not pay him the big money. I'd pay him about 25-30 mil per year.... Pretty much what I said I'd pay him months ago. Nothing has changed. I believe he has immense potential but he is being placed into the same mold that completely destroyed Romo's potential. Garrett has a way of dumbing down those around him. More on that later.
Kellen:
I really feel sorry for this guy. He is tasked with somehow shielding himself and his offense from the dumbing down of Garrett. Preparation is coaching. Period. While Kellen is still very much an unproven commodity, I have faith in him. Unfortunately, he is swimming upstream in the DumbDown river.
Garrett:
Garrett is Garrett. Nothing is any different from the past 8 years. 8-8. His lucky number is 8. I'm not surprised nor disappointed. Yesterday's compete game plan from the opening bell was garbage. It was a huge serving of Garrett slop. I've read this story over and over for 8 years now. It's very familiar. So familiar that I can see the next chapter coming before we get there. I'm no longer excited by this book. That excitement exited years ago.
Garrett destroys everything in his path from Kris Richard to Kellen Moore to many of the players that are not being inspired weekly with superior game plans. More of the same until he's gone.
Have a great week.
