Would Romo have us at 5-0?

STOP THE BS. Romo was only elite with elite talent surrounding him. He had almost as many losing seasons as he’s had winning ones. If he was sooooo ELITE he’d have a damn Super Bowl ring or two because his ELITE TALENT would’ve overcome any and all negative circumstances within the team. RIGHT????

That's the whole Anti-Dak narrative, that truly elite QBs don't need the "perfect team" around him and can elevate average players enough to win a Superbowl at least one time. With all of this "If Romo had this team logic." Someone could turn around and say that if Brady had the teams that Romo had or some of the offensive weapons that Romo had, then he would have won a Superbowl. Are we not to believe that Brady wouldn't have used the best of TO, Terry Glenn, Miles Austin, Marion Barber, and Murray to help himself to yet another Superbowl ring.

They love to do it with Dak, but wouldn't want anyone to turn around and use the same logic that Brady could have won Superbowls with the same weapons that Romo couldn't.

Thanks for the reminder as some having revisionist history act like we never had offensive struggles with Romo and that Romo easily lit of the scoreboard every single game, especially in his first 3 or 4 years as starter.
Thanks. That's just a sample of a few games, but each season can be dissected the same way.

Exactly!!! That would strike all these fairytalers as blasphemous. What if Aaron Rodgers had some of Romo’s teams? He’d have 3-4 more rings by now. Ya know? Hahahahaha

A healthy Romo right now (pulled from the booth and given two weeks of prep) would be at least 4-1

Dak definitely played his part in the loss, don't give a .... about 4th quarter play. He tried to give the ball away several more times, failed to place the ball ahead of the wr that led to easy breakups or bad drops into picks. Had we mounted a comeback then he gets some credit for turning it around but he helped put us there and never got us out.

Dak Prescott is the new Andrew Luck. Can only beat bad teams and gets washed out against competition.

How many GOOD TEAMS has Romo beat? If I remember correctly he didn’t put together too many consecutive winning seasons because he failed miserably every other year that we had to play on a first place schedule. Don’t forget that part.

People still don’t see a fundamental issue with this team that runs deeper than the QB? Gotta keep this argument going even though the results are never there no matter who is behind center??

Why haven’t we advanced to the NFC championship under Romo if he was so ELITE?

He carried us for 10 years. Towards the end the team realized that QB's don't win SB's by themselves. No QB ever has...took the front office 12 years to figure it out. Then Dak got handed that team and here we are.

Don't forget the part of Romo having half the line Dak has had and then some walmart greeters in prior years. And Romo never had zeke. And this coaching staff is much more experienced than when he was here.

Stop with the deflections and look at what we're getting now.

A healthy Romo?

Absolutely. And 7-0 would be right around the corner heading into the bye.

Can't imagine Romo with these receivers and Zeke Elliott. It would be insane.

A 2014 Romo probably 5-0. An aged back issue Romo probably the same 3-2.

Another thread that makes no sense.. If the NFL changed the rules to flag football definitely!!! I'll say this EVERY time someone asks a what if about Romo.. He could not take a hit!!! His body called it quits before his heart did. I don't think Tony could make it though 5 games especially when the defense knows how tender he was.

Dak is much better this season. Huge jump in accuracy, touch, and processing speed. He may seriously compete for MVP, especially when you add in his ability to run to the package.

But you said "in the playoffs". No playoff games yet this year. Try to pay attention.
Daks 301 yards and 3 TDs was against GB in the playoffs. You have no clue what you are talking about, so how about you admit you were wrong and move on.

I believe most Dakota critics think hes far from trash......isnt average OK anymore? and there is no "Hatred" (as the Swifties would say) merely critiquing and wishing he would rise up to overcome adversities like a pass rush, we see guys like Mahomes ,Rodgers and Brady do it week in and week out.

#wedontbehatin
Yep Mahomes really overcame the pass rush last week..... Guys aren't winning every game or playing perfect games week in and week out so stop acting like they do. Perhaps you only watch highlights of those guys and not actually game film

Just when I think I have seen the most absurd thread ever on this site, I clicked on this one.

Romo does not play in the NFL now.

So, if Dallas had the 1993 Cowboys defense, would they be 5-0?

If Dallas had Jimmy Johnson back as head coach would they be 5-0?

If Dallas had Bob Lilly as a DT on this team would they be 5-0?

See how ridiculous this idea was to create this thread?

Probably not. But I bet in your anger at the team, it made you feel a bit better when you posted it.
