Just how bad are Rod/Richard?

The Jets literally have one weapon. Lev Bell. Any decent coaching staff will scheme to take him out. So far our coaches have proven they can’t do this. See Barkley/Engram, Jones, etc.

Not worried about winning but I can absolutely see Bell getting 150 yards and a couple of scores

Rod and Richard are awful. Defense constantly plays scared and passive. I really thought Richard was going to change this defense completely, but I’ve seen it happen maybe a handful of times since he’s been here. Do you think any QB in this league is scared to play our defense? I’ve been highly disappointed with every single player on the defense this year. Not one to me has taken that next step, and all look like they have regressed in some way. That to me is coaching and just the general attitude this team has on defense. Which is to sit back and let the opposing offense dictate the game.

The bend don’t break works when you’re up by 3-4 touchdowns in the second half and can lock it down in the red zone. We let offenses move at will. Not just the elite QBs. How many times have we seen a backup or journeyman shred the Dallas defense to pieces over the past few years. Bottom line, we need a defensive coach who knows what he’s doing, knows what he needs out of every player on every level of the defense, and who knows how to play aggressive and not give up glaring big plays. Right now the players on defense reflect the defensive coaching staff. Scared and timid. We need bullies on defense that play smart and a coordinator to put it all together and get the best of every player. I love that coordinator from the 49ers and we should have never let a certain someone who just schooled the Chiefs get away.

They're not as bad as Garrett. Lets just leave it right there.

Pretty dang bad. They let a backup level RB (Aaron Jones) punch in 4 TD's on them. What do you think Le'veon is going to do to this defense?

6th ranked defense in the NFL bad
Stats from the first 3 games are still coming in. Heck, our offense is still ranked in the top 10 despite recent bad performances. It will likely continue it's downward trend for the next few weeks due to tougher opponents and the likelihood of Dallas continuing to shoot themselves in the foot.

Our offense is number 1. Stats say our defense and offense are good. We beat ourselves the last couple of games....the panic is unwarranted.

You omit Kamara and Thomas?
While not spectacular I’d say holding Thomas under 100 yds and no tds is effective. And holding Kamara to what 60 something yards and 4 ypc? And the first time the Saints didn’t score a td in 15 years?

saquon had the big run, true but what else? The big blight is Aaron Jones. It happens.

That's exactly what I am panicking about. Dallas was honestly a better team than GB. Maybe a few better positional players here and there, but overall Dallas is better. Saints D is better, but with Brees out, our offense is better than their's. Dallas should have won both of those games. You are right, Dallas beat themselves and gave themselves the losses in those games, but that is what scares me most. This team likely won't change. They will continue to make those mistakes and they won't adjust because they are undisciplined and JG won't do anything to solve this problem. They will continue to shoot themselves in the foot, when they truly have one of the most talented rosters in the NFL. This team will continue to shoot themselves in the foot until they learn to stay humble, stop committing dumb penalties, start playing as a true team unit instead of individuals, stop turning over the ball via fumble and interception, and learning to adjust in general. If that means overriding whatever JG says, so be it.

This is what I'm talking about when I say this team plays as a group of individuals and not a unit. Stats don't matter if you don't get the best stat of them all, aka, wins. These players get all gassed up from seeing their stats and they believe their good while their team is 3-2. No. You are as good as the team you are on is. This gassed up thinking will lead to the downfall of the team because they will truly believe they are better than other teams/players, and they will be in for a surprise when that other team shows them who is truly the boss.

Also- though 2 of the interceptions weren't really Dak's fault, he threw 3 interceptions. (4 if you count the one taken away by a penalty. If you include that one, than 2 of the interceptions are on him and 2 are on his WR and a missed call). I would rarely call that a career game, despite the high yardages and deep throws.

Weve only played 5 games. A lot of our key players didnt even practice in the preseason and we have a brand new OC. We are a solid team and its obvious. The panic is even comical.
