This staff (read: Garrett) has never been able to creatively use two backs effectively.

Felix, Dunbar, Pollard, etc. all were supposed to be change of pace or dual threat RBs, yet none have them have ever used even close to that.

Just more Cowboys offseason hot air.

Last 2 games look like wonder boy has been in over his head and forgot about Tony P.

It's gonnna be such an learning experience for Kellen Moore.
Primarily its on him when it comes to in-game adjustments. I still cannot figure why we continue have stalls and slow starts in every single game this year vs every single opposing team. But at least we do see the some adjustments to some extent.

But I do wonder when we face the better teams and better QBs, will we be able to overcome mistakes, stalls, and slow starts. But thus far , it's really looking like Pollard as a
receiver/gimmick weapon isn't a part of the plan at this very time.

Lewis has far better INT hands and ball hawk skills than Byron, and probably better in zones and playing off line cushion.. but in terms of pure man coverage, Lewis is not in Byron's league, imo. .

Brown and Lewis each played about 800 snaps in 2017. Brown had 2 INTs, Lewis had 1.

Brown and Lewis had 1 each in 2018. Lewis had his playing underneath in Dime coverage on a pass that would have hit him in the numbers if he didn't see it.

There is a huge Lewis fan club of fans that think he is the greatest but they have no actual reason to support their claims.

Lewis was the "starting" Nickel CB in 2 games last season (Brown and Awuzie each missed a game).

Playing Nickel or Dime CB is much different than playing outside CB, especially in the Kris Richard coverage scheme.

I doubt if Kellen Moore is making the decision on which RB is on the field.

I don't know if he if even the one to specify which player they will use on jet sweeps, end-around(s), etc..

I know that prior to 2018, Linehan didn't make those decisions. Linehan didn't have the option to specify Jarwin over Witten back in 2017 and earlier.

that would definitely surprise me if he does not have a hand and the biggest hand in calling the shots on player personnel for certain plays and packages.
for instance in selecting Jarwin to run the deep TE middle seams ..as opposed to slow mud Witten.

I expect Kellen to entrust his position coaches to lean their suggestions and recommend the idea personnel to run fit certain plays and packages, but I do expect Kellen
himself to have his own idea and knowledge of what skill set he has at his disposal and how to best utilize them.

Jordan Lewis has become a folks hero in certain quarters, I tend to think some are rooting for Jordan because of the underdog mode –“ size of the fight in the dog, not the size of the dog in the fight “ cliché, the All- 22 vs Dez, .. plus if there’s some evidence that Lewis is a ball hawk, the feeling is that could help us big time with gaining INTs, that’s all the more urgency to root for him.

As far as “.. a pass that would have hit him in the numbers, if he didn’t see it.. “ if you’re referring to the Saints Game where Jordan INT Brees to seal the game, if I’m not mistaken,
I thought I saw Jordan reading Brees and coming off his man and into the path of the pass to snatch the INT. Maybe there’s still an existing video of that whole single play.

In the 1st couple games of the year I liked pollard getting 1 series. Experience is invaluable. he's a young buck who doesn't need 20 carries but atleast a few say 6-12 a game maybe more if he's doing well.
