Isn't it outstanding when a coach or a player addresses a problem AFTER the fact rather than BEFORE it? I would honestly like to know why are these glaring issues NOT addressed before hand? Richard, did you honestly think the run problems were OK before the Green Bay game? Did the coaches think the run defense was good going into this season? I just wish players and coaches would stop placating the media and fans and would speak freely. Stop insulting us with lame statements such as:

"We will watch the tape and get better"
"We will learn from this"
Or my personal fav Dakism:
"This was good for us" Referring to the loss. as if they need a loss to do their job or play 100%.

You forgot "Dak Friendly"

Not behind that O line he’s not. He’s averaging 2.9 ypc and has less than 210 total yards. That’s pathetic.
The Packers had 300 yard rushing thru week 4 (excluding ARod's 53 yards). Against Philly they posted an impressive 31 yards (again excluding ARod). So, its not the opponent's abilities so much as how we AREN'T playing good run defense.

In Bell's defense, he has yet to face a bad defense such as ours yet. So far they have played the Pats and Bills, who have stellar defenses so far, the Browns, who are okay, but Myles Garrett and Co are monsters, and Philly, another inconsistent team, but serviceable enough to stop the run. Bell will have his breakout game against us. LVE sick, A. Woods likely out, no planning or scheming for the game, and our defense just not looking the same in general. That 2.9 average yards per carry will likely sky rocket to 9 average yards per carry after our game. This run D has more holes than Swiss cheese.

Why is the passing game coordinator standing in front of microphones and addressing issues with stopping the run? I understand that the whole defense is involved in stopping the run, but isn't it the primary responsibility of the defensive line and the linebackers ... who are not coached by Richard? And, also, don't we supposedly have a defensive coordinator who is known as a "d-line whisperer"? If Marinelli isn't really in charge anymore, he needs to retire.

Usually, but the front is so bad that it's up to the secondary to make stops.

too much thinkin on defense gets ya beat. Sounds like we are trying to re-invent the wheel. Missed tackles are the end result. Just play football. Just beat the man in front of you
I was listening to his media session yesterday. Idk he doesn't come off very convincing to me. Seems like another rah rah guy who doesn't understand that the other team is scheming his unit to death.

its a process Kris? LOL

Oh, addressed and everything is magically fine now that another terrible team is next. Right out of the JG playbook.

Should have addressed it last season after the Rams game.

I remember being told repeatedly all offseason that there was no issue and nothing needed to be fixed.

Those same people should set Richard and this team straight!

You're exposing the charade that this team is trying to keep going.

Trysten Hill, definitely the best second round pick this team has ever had.

(sigh) yeh, and with A. Woods returning and Crawford already back, this could mean T- Hill may end up being on the inactive game da list again.
You just cannot learn and gain experience like that, and the only way he's going to have a chance to play is for one of the four DTs
Collins, woods, Crawford, Covington) end up hurt.
I didn't expect Hill to start at any point this season, but I also did not expect the 2nd rd pick to be inactive for better part of the year.
Which is what its gonna look like for Hill in 2019. Damn!

Last weeks loss was truly a defensive one. Offense was NOT the issue.

Funny how Richard was the Messiah last year. How quickly the Cowboys fan machine casts you to the side. lol
NOT I...its not him...its the echo chamber he's now in. Once we fire Granny Marinelli and push him over that cliff lol, then MAYBE we can improve.
