For anybody who doesn’t have the time to listen, there’s not actually any dig at Garrett whatsoever. He does say the Jets defensive scheme is kind of like NOLA’s and that that might pose some issues for the Dallas offense.
Nice try but any one can watch the video and see you are just blinded by love for JG.

There is a line in an old song "Two men say they're Jesus, one of them must be wrong"...

Romo takes a dig at JG and says Jets will need a great scheme and can't expect to beat the Cowboys one on one. He also thinks the Jets defensive scheme is similar to Saints and could make it tougher for Dallas.

This game may be a good test to see if the coaches made the necessary adjustments to handle defenses like the Saints.

Thanks for posting this.

I always like to hear Tony talking football.

I get what Romo is saying despite being 0-4 the Jets defense can be a potential tough test for the Cowboys like how the Saints were. Between the Jets defense holding down the Eagles offense and them having a scheme similar to the Saints, it will say a lot about this Cowboys offense and Kellen Moore's playcalling if this offense can be successful against the Jets defense.

Lol! No. You’re reading into the interview something that isn’t even remotely there because you’re dislike for the HC is overriding your ability to interpret basic English.
Is Garett’s philosophy, or has it been, to not try and “fool” anyone. Rather, out muscle (so to speak) them?

For anybody who doesn’t have time to listen, Romo also doesn’t say that Garrett is an incompetent doofus moron and should be fired so there are several things he believes that he does not say in clip

you realize that you’re arguing with Garrett’s mom, right?
He is extremely loyal. Extremely. I’d like to understand what he sees and how long he will. I mean is there a breaking point for him?

9 years is a long time and there have been many different players. We’re never horrible, but at some point maybe we need to change to be great.

I’ll ask it over and over. What does he do well?

I believe @Idgit says organizes and handles Jerry. I can’t deny that. And we rebuilt without sucking.

At some point we need more. Like during the game try talking to other coaches and players.

lt makes me sad that Dire Straits songs legitimately qualify as “old songs.”
Now, now they actually came out on vinyl.

I couldn't get the link to play. The link worked fine, but I just got an endless spinning wheel.

the thing is, I believe we’ve been a successful organization fairly consistently going back to 2014. I don’t see these recent seasons as failures because I recognize that each season there are 3-4 teams in this league that are good enough to win it all, and about 75% of them don’t. There’s a lot that goes into a championship beyond just the coaching.

So it’s not that I’m loyal. It’s that I believe he’s doing a good job. I’ve said many times I’m totally open to upgrading if an actual upgrade is available.

As for what he does well, I’ve answered that many times, as well. He’s optimized the relationship between coaches and scouts, he does a great job developing players, he does a great job eliminating distractions and managing chaos. He has his teams prepared. He’s not a brilliant game day tactician, and I’m not a huge fan of his offense. I’ve said that many times, as well.

I feed my dog Carrots daily.
She just turned 17 last week and still going strong.
Large breeds don’t live that long.

But that’s great for your dogs longevity. You’re lucky.

As I’ve told you. I actually do want him to succeed. I want our team to succeed. At some point though we may need to move on to attempt to grow.

I guess it could backfire, but eventually all things must end.

I’m not so sure we’re always prepared. The slow start vs Green Bay in the playoffs comes to mind.

I’d also say that preparing has a lot to do with forming the best strategy on how to attack and beat the opposing team and that may include changing what you are comfortable with. Or, at least, that should be an option that Is a possibility.

I feel like his philosophy says different.

I don’t think he’s bashing Garrett. Who cares though, time for bashing was when he was playing. Weak.

He hit on all the right keys.

The Jets do have a decent D. Falk’s turnovers put them in holes.
But their offense struggles to get chunk plays so defenses load up on Bell.
