We were talking about losing to weaker teams. And furthermore in 2014 we were playing a 3rd place schedule. So I’m not sure how many WINNING TEAMS we actually beat that season. But hey! Whatever.

So then let's change gears and talk about Dak's record vs winning teams the past couple of years.

See I can move the goalposts too....

Dak has now been a Cowboy through 3 full seasons and 5 games.

At this exact point in his career, Romo had thrown 2 passes.

People forget that. Romo was inactive through his entire rookie season. He then spent the next two seasons as the holder for field goal attempts. It wasn't until the fifth game of his fourth season that he lined up as a quarterback during 4th quarter garbage time. The next game Bledsoe was benches in the 2nd half and Romo started.

He threw 3 INT's in one half but also showed some playmaking ability.

Is this the Right omo we are talking about or are we referring to the Pro Bowl years before turning so fragile?

Hopefully not the 2006 Romo because he fell apart at the end of the season, even losing to the Lions who were trying to get the #1 overall draft pick.

I didn’t move a goalpost. I was responding to someone who was. I used that game as an example. Go back and read the comments thoroughly before picking something to debate. You should comment on things you don’t know the origin of. In other words. Mind ya business!!!

I don't understand. This is so disrespectful. There's nothing that should make you think the outcome would be any different. Yall forget that Romo also had a habit of throwing balls behind the WRs, had been shut down before, and had a bunch of high turnover games as well.

We beat the Saints with either if we dont fumble. Probably still do if the heart of our oline doesnt allow a guy to run straight through on the first play of our last drive.

The offense failed against the Saints. Not just Dak

Was that the game Roy Williams was absolutely torching Aaron Glenn?

I think if Dak had Bill Parcells for his firt 3 years we would at least have gotten to the NFC Championship his rookie season and the Superbowl last season..But Romo would have probably started us 5-0 but then he would run out of gas in the playoffs..Just my 2 cents..Coach carrot is horrible

Romo without Tyron protecting his backside wouldn’t be a pretty site for cowboys fans

Then they would say "How does anyone expect Romo to win without an healthy OL." And the narrative would be that Romo didn't have an OL much like how it is right now that Romo never had good OL's to work with and that is one of the reasons why the Cowboys failed to win a Superbowl with him.

I think some of you trolls are getting Romo confused with Dak, Romo was one of the best QBs in the league long before Smith showed up, and only played one season with the Smith, Frederick and Martin combo.
Meanwhile the worst Dak has ever had it was to only have two All-Pros on his line instead of three (oh boo hoo). Dak completely falls apart with situations that would be the envy of QBs around the league; Romo made it work with guys like Phil Costa and Alex Barron. There’s no comparison, Romo is going into the Ring of Honor, Dak is going into the Arena League when the OL gets old.

This is thread is about "What if Romo has this team." And if Tyron Smith getting hurt would have lead to Romo getting hit and pressured a lot in a loss, then the OL would be blamed for the loss. The OL got blamed for any games that the Cowboys lost with Romo. Including the 34-3 game to the Vikings that was just as ugly as the Packers game. Except the Vikings game had more importance because it was a playoffs game. And Romo and the offense struggled.

Romo going to the Ring of Honor with no Superbowl rings and playoff wise has done and accomplished nothing more than what Dak has accomplished so far.

Yeah also except the Vikings were an actual dominant playoff team, while the Packers have a Swiss cheese defense full of hurt players that Dak did nothing against until it was garbage time.
Romo is going to the Ring of Honor because he was good, maybe you don’t know what it is but it has nothing to do with team accomplishments. Dak is going to the Arena League because he’s bad.
