Mr. Underwhelming, Mr. On Occasion.
The Pack saw his eroding skills in the offseason. And, Jerry being Jerry, said "He's a big name! We must have him!"
Then again, it must be quite a letdown to go from Rogers to Dak...
But, letting go of Beasley was a good move by Jerry.

Someone posted this
:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

Pollard- 100% catch rate
Tavon- 100%
Witten- 85%
Jarwin- 80%
Zeke- 76.5%
Cooper- 74.4%
Gallup- 69%

Cobb- 63%

And you think it's the QBs fault :laugh:

Although you should definitely give all the examples of Dak sailing it by 10 yards.

hes been open and some um bad passes sailed to all sides except near his hands of late.. common theme during the 2 losses..also the media broadcast a few games talked about certain QBs who throw a certain way to protect receivers and others like umm, who throw to the back shoulder over the middle causing a WR to have to slow up or reach over their heads get hit hard..causes injury issues .

not naming names..

Amazing.

Both Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup are averaging over 100 yards receiving per game, but Dak Prescott is garbage because Randall Cobb isn't producing.

BlueBlood lives in an alternate reality.

All these 10 yard passes over his head and throwing it 3 yards in front of him. Want to take a guess as to how many actual examples of these events happening he will be able to produce?

I get it, but no quarterback has every incomplete pass scrutinized more than Dak. Some fans and even some TV analysts will overlook all the great passes Prescott will throw in any given week and focus on a play or two he failed to make.

Every QB throws a bad pass from time to time. All of them. Dak has had his share, you're right, but his good plays have outweighed his bad ones for his entire career. This isn't my blue blood talking, it's fact.

I have no problem with people disliking Dak for whatever reason they want; but some stuff just seems overblown in an effort to make him look like Tim Tebow II.

I didn't realize just how delusional the other side was until they wanted to blame Dak for the 1st INT in the Packers game. I really couldn't believe what I was reading.

As a Dak fan, I say the blame for that play was probably 70 percent Cooper and 30 percent Dak.

Dak could have thrown a better pass, but Cooper himself said this week the ball hit both his hands and it was his fault.

He could have made a better pass for yards after catch(and touchdown), but he put it right on the WR and they catch those 99% of the time.

Could he have thrown it better for YAC? yes.
Was he even 1% responsible for the INT? No

Cobb has more yards per reception and more TDs (Beasley has zero TDs).

Yards/Reception is a better measure of performance.

Bulk yards and bulk targets is a function of the specific offense.

On basic stats, Yards/Target, as long as the number of receptions is significant.

On complex stats, Football Outsiders has DVOA - Defense Adjusted Value Over Average
I think it's per target, but they're a little ambiguous on that.
https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/wr/2019

Cooper 3
Gallup 16
Cobb 52
Beasley 49

Given the added flexibility gives us relative to Beasley, I'd call it an improvement and at a discount. Beasley is just a poor fit for a run first team.

Is Randall Cobb going to be alright? What's the latest on him?

I didn't read all the replies here so maybe I missed it, but did anyone else see the article where the Pats are looking for help at WR? Several names were mentioned, including Cobb, but I don't see how he'd help their already injury riddled WR corps. Doesn't make any sense.

What do you guys think though? Should Dallas entertain offers if the Pats inquire about him?
