Guys if you want to see him fired that is fine but it is not a plan for the future. I get that you are upset but try using the front brain a little and come up with solutions rather than taking out your angst.

Lincoln Riley is an interesting name, although that is a complete gamble. The NFL is a lot different than college.

I'd look at the Shanahan tree. He is a damn good coach. Falcons fell off after he left, Niners have made a complete turnaround from a team that was probably the worst in the league a few years ago when Harbaugh exited and guys just started retiring.

Imagining his zone blocking coaching in Dallas makes me weep.

Sucks because most of the up and coming coaches were snatched up pretty recently.

I have little interest in discussions of rants, reactionary diatribe, or whining. I like discussing solutions.

What potential HC are out there that would upgrade the team? Keep in mind that this is still the Cowboys with all that entails. Your neophyte prodigy might not be as good of an idea as one may think.

I really have no idea about the college ranks but would love to see what people have in mind.

It really doesnt matter. The talent is just not good anymore. The oline is horrific, the dline, aside from Quinn, is getting pushed around and has no burst. The lbs have regressed so bad I cant even see how they made plays last year.

We are now in rebuilding mode, but paid everyone to keep the status quo.

You don't bring in outsiders during a season normally so it has to be someone on the staff. No one is worthy.

Ben Bloom, Columbo, Leon Lett, moore, richard, lal etc..

Not a chance.

I get that. They aren't going to tank yet but if they scuttle it it's likely Marinelli which is great for tank mode.

At the same time if people want him gone so bad then I think a discussion of what comes next is a wise one to have.

Garrett will not be released during the season so forget that

And let's remember how many head coaches were used after Jimmy Johnson. So to say "anyone" is silly

Why would a successful college coach want to leave to coach Dallas? Answer: The reason why players come to Dallas ---to get paid, not to win.

Would remove Garrett, install RIchard and hire a new guy in the off season, we aren't winning the SB anyways. No one is beating the Pats. Might as well get things in motion now.

They’d just make someone on-staff the interim HC for the rest of the season. Probably Richard which doesn’t really inspire me much more than Garrett

Anybody but why not try and get Romo to give up the booth and give it a run for the remainder of the year. He says all the right things and points out all the flaws, no way it could be worse than this.
Romo would not jump up after the beating Dak took today. This offensive line should be ashamed of the their collective selves

Yea it is, I just don't think its happening. Garrett has survived so many negatives while everyone around him has been fired or replaced that it means they just want him here as the CEO running day to day things hoping the individual coaches and coordinators run the scheme and the play calling in game.

It says a lot when even the most diehard defenders are talking about the end of Garrett.

I'm saying the same thing that I have for a while. I was down with Payton for example last offseason. I'm saying the exact same thing: I am always down for an upgrade.

What says a lot is that the quickest to quit still don't have any idea for a solution despite having the same sentiment for years.
