Not happening
What's your honest opinion? I don't think even a collapse will force Jones to can Garrett during the season, and when it's over, he'll look outside.
When it collapsed on Phillips he canned him.
Yeah, but he had 'the Chosen One' waiting in the wing then. And Jones has always been overly, exceedingly patient when it comes to Garrett.
Let's just say I'll be surprised if Garrett doesn't finish out the season no matter what.

Then why not extend him?
My opinion has been unchanged since 2015. In my opinion, Jones will not fire Garrett unless a) the team suffers an extended consecutive losing streak of six or seven games and b) the team has unquestionably quit (e.g. lackluster four quarter performance) on their head coach. Both conditions must be met. What's your honest opinion? I don't think even a collapse will force Jones to can Garrett during the season, and when it's over, he'll look outside.
Because he's terrible at the job and there's no denying it anymore.
I wish Jerry would give Parcells a one year contract if for no other reason than to 'Make Cowboys HC Press Conferences Great Again.'Can we squeeze 2-3 years out of Dollar Bill Parcells?

you do get that undermines your "golden boy" narrative right?
literally anyone
What do you really gain from firing him now. You arent gonna improve making that move in season. We have been a major disappointment, but so have the Eagles so the division is still winnable. You dont want to be home in January is the way I see. That is what I am looking forward to. Most of the fanbase wants him fired already. That ship has sailed.
Can you foresee a scenario when Jones fires him during the season?
I think JG will finish out the year, but if Philly embarrasses us next weekend, Jerry might pull the trigger.
Richard would be a fine interim option. They need to go outside for the next long term coach though.
sure. we lose 3 more in a row, sure. We have a game where the team quits like it did on Phillips, sure. Jones has a drunken whim, sure.
How so?
