:hammer:I can't believe that a man who bought the Dallas Cowboys ,for his first order of business was too fire TOM LANDRY ,and now is sticking with Garret for a decade.

Read that as nothing is going to change. He is going to back up JG and tell us that the team is fighting and will get it turned it around.
He is not firing Garrett mid-season. I'd be surprised if he does. This team would have to do what they did to Wade for it to happen.

With all the money Jerry has. With all the money the Cowboys make. With all the money you pay out to put a product on the field in the way of salaries & operating expenses...... would it not be worth paying even $20,000,000 a year or even $30,000,000 a year for the next Jimmy Johnson out there somewhere.

You can pay an average QB $40,000,000 a year but no head coach is worth even half that???????

I would challenge anyone to argue with me that Jimmy Johnson in his prime would be anything less than 6-0 with the Cowboys right now.

Blood is in the water and the Eagles will be ready to punch on us. Jim Schwartz is going to have them dialed up and I expect a ton of pressure.

If we lose next week, you'd have to think that with a nationally-televised game, 4 straight losses, and going into the By eweek, Jerry's ego and impatience will get the best of him.
I can only hope.

A certain point is all that is needed because reason and rationality always win in time if the person making the decisions has any mental stabilty. His life clock is already over the only one who doesn't know it is him, he can't make better decisions because he doesn't want to just win he wants to win his way and have the ability to say i told you so, for this we all suffer. It's the aftermath to the way Jimmy left town, Jerry wants to win that decades old dispute and he knows the Switzer SB win wasn't enough to jusitfy, hence Garrett still here. We're cheering for a orginaztion that wants approval from the past more then it wants SB wins for winnings sake. In short we're screwed.
I believe many people thought Jerry Jones was rational when he was 51 years old. That was his age when he allowed his narcissism to justify him firing a two-time defending Super Bowl winning head coach.

True. Fans are dependent upon both Jones' choices and non-decisions. I know this. What I do not understand sometimes are the opinions founded on the self-belief Jones is senile even though he has displayed zero signs of dementia.

It is not age that is Jones' problem. It has not been a problem up to today. It is his particular personality. That has been the issue from day one.

If they lose 4 straight going into the Bye, I don't think Jerry will be able to tolerate the 14 days between games, nor would he be willing to duck the media that long to avoid all the Garrett questions. I also think it would be awful for the players.

It may be a token move like Marinelli, but I think something happens.

After the BYE at 3-4 (if we lose), it's:

at Giants
Vikings
at Lions
at Patriots
Bills
at Bears
Rams
at Eagles
Commanders

Hard to see 6 or 7 wins in that 9 game remaining schedule we would most likely need to make playoffs.

Well least he knows we aren't one of the top teams....too bad 95% of the clueless fans (a lot on the forums too) think we are NOT one of the top teams. Makes me feel better plus I get to laugh a lot at the losers on these forums.
