1. The cowboys are not a college team.

2. In the NFL. Harbaugh took over a losing team and in 4 seasons, he went to the NFC title game 3 times and made it to a Super Bowl.

Perhaps you should focus more on his NFL experience than his stint at Michigan.

Have you seen Harbaugh lately? He's more burned out than the carrot top. We need fresh blood....preferably on the defensive side of the football. @ this point I wouldn't be opposed to Kellen taking over...as long as he had a strong defensive coordinator.

Riley would represent someone in the Mcvay Mold. Young offensive minded coach who may be able to do big things with this offense. Again anyone not garret to me is an upgrade. Defense you do that same thing the rams did, hire a defensive guy with experience. Although i wouldn't mind still giving richard a shot to run it full time.

Does Riley have the personality to deal with the Dallas big market? Don't know as much about him as some of you probably do.
I think he does.
here in okc,we keep hearing he has a connection to the Jones family some how.
if other NFL teams have shown interest...we haven't heard it locally...atleast I havent.
all you hear is Dallas...if he were to make that jump.

NCAA recruiting is stupidly disproportionate and has nothing to do with NFL success.

Agreed. Talent acquisition and development is much different in the college game.

Michigan losing to more talented teams, doesn’t make me believe the coach isn’t any good.

I also think the cowboys Personnel is perfect for Harbaugh.

He is a run first coach. He ran offenses with a lot of RPO’s and read options. He had Alex Smith and Kaepernick in San Francisco and Dak is better than both of them but has a similar skill set.

Harbaugh also coaches his teams to be physical and win the line of scrimmage.

The style of football he wants to play, matches the players the cowboys have.

Burned out at Michigan does not mean burned out overall. He's 55 and only a couple years older than the average head coach.

There’s a surprise. You want Kellen Moore to be the head coach.

I couldn’t see that coming Floaty.

Btw, have you watched Kellen’s offenses lately? But you’re going to criticize Harbaugh’s recent performance?

Wade Phillips was fired Monday as coach of the Dallas Cowboys, with offensive coordinator Jason Garrett promoted to take his place.

This is the same narrative that was bandied about pre-Parcells. The Joneses have shown before they are willing to cede power if they really want someone.

They did that because they were completely lost and most importantly they were LOSING money playing at Texas Stadium.

They knew they had flaws and had to admit them in order to agree to Parcells requirements for him to take the job. They did, Jerry's radio interviews 03-05 with norm were almost word for word what parcells was saying. He got out of the way, Parcells fired the people screwing up the personnel in the front office and brought in a real coaching staff who answered to him not jerry.

Once the stadium vote was done and they had that in their back pocket and the team missed the playoffs in 05 jerry went back to being jerry.

This is the only time they have ceded power and it was 100% because they could not get that stadium built without public approval and running the organization the way they do was never going to earn that. It's never happening again.

Stadium is built, PSL's are all sold, Frisco is built and they are selling high end apartments and other nonsense on the grounds of the teams headquarters. They are worth more than they ever dreamed and they didn't have to win to do it. So since they can do it their way and not get results on the field but in the bank nothing will change.

I am a Penn State alum.

I would say no to Franklin. He is the opposite of Harbaugh. Doing really well at the recruiting. Struggling at the game day coaching.

Agreed. Great with the kids, has some really innovative approaches to recruiting. He's a decent motivator as well. Just nothing special on the chalk board IMO.

I'd take him at USC but not for the Cowboys.

Yeah you want guys overachieving their recruiting rank.

I'm not sold on the up and coming college head coach with the Joneses in charge. They would walk all over them.

You are right. Getting that stadium was Jerry's motivation. He said so himself.

Now his biggest motivation is his mortality.

Anybody but why not try and get Romo to give up the booth and give it a run for the remainder of the year. He says all the right things and points out all the flaws, no way it could be worse than this.

He could sub for Dak too.

It really doesn't matter who it is. Put up a cardboard cutout for all i care. Let Jerry Coach, at least it would be funny. I just can't look at Garret's face on the sideline anymore.

"Ultimately everything that we want will be determined by what we do from this moment forward," Garrett said. "We just have to get back to work [Monday], take it one day at a time and try to get better as a football team."

What a moron
