Leonard Williams, Jets first round pick, 2015
Quinnen Williams, Jets first round pick, 2019
Harry Anderson, traded for
Steve McClendon, NT signed in FA

Point? Jets prioritize DLine, understanding that if you're weak up front, you'll get owned far too often.
Say what you will about the jets, they have always had a good dine and overall defense as
Long as I can remember

Yeah, we play like this, it's sub .500 comin' our way.
Sad but true. The crescendo of doubt is about to cascade. It won't be pretty, but it might be the catalyst to finally get rid of the albatross named Garrett.

how is it that they can consistently blitz and overload the zone so dak has no time to throw?
we cannot seem to do that even when we blitz?

Because Greg Williams wasn’t worried about Dak’s arm, so they were aggressive up front. And this was with a bottom 20 passing defense. Jets also have a top 10 run defense.

Remember how the first couple years all the Dak homers were saying how amazing Dak was when teams blitzed. Well, maybe it was because the OL was stopping dudes dead on their tracks..

Philosophical differences in DC's. Their guy believes in being disruptive. We adhere to the Jurassic bend but don't break theory. Next week Jim Schwartz and his eagle defense will be on us like a swarm of yellowjackets.

Eagles play a lot of man and leave their DBs out there on an island. With our WRs this should give us plenty of opportunities to attack deep.

We are too busy running stunts that take a couple of extra seconds to get home. We rarely seem to show 8 and bring 4 from one side or whatever. Just like the offense very predictable and plain.

this is the answer i like the most.
we are running stunts most of the time.
keeping more people back to buy time for the dline to get there.

Because we had both starting tackles out and our top Wr on the bench.

On defense we have no safeties that can cover and only 1 corner that can.

When we blitz...we telegraph it from a mile away...and teams see it coming...so they have time to adjust. Plus our blitz packages are incredibly simple.

And for God's sake...can we get rid of these damn ineffective end/tackle twists? Whenever we do this....all we do is allow the QB to scramble for more time..and escape....which usually ends up in big chunk plays. Keep the QB in the pocket fools!!!

We play a twisted version of Tampa Two....sit back and tackle after completions

Blitzing is to aggressive and mean spirited

No it won't, they have guys on an island because Schwartz likes to blitz alot leaving little time to throw down field. If Dak makes quick throws and the playmakers do there thing then we'll be in good shape.

Yes he likes to blitz and yes there will also be time. Please explain to me how Amari had over 200 yards catching last year against the Eagles on basically go routes?

I don't recall the defense in the game, but i do remember the go routes. Why? Did he blitz on those plays?

It doesn’t matter. The point is, Schwartz was playing man on the outside all game, with third string DBs and no safety help over the top. And Cooper had to yell at Dak to throw it, because the CBs were sitting on the routes.

The point being, even if there is a blitz if it’s picked up and Dak can read it from the beginning, he should be able to connect on some deep routes.

kirk Cousins just lit up the Philly secondary and teams are averaging over 300 yards passing regularly. They even allowed 400 plus and are bottom five passing defense.
