Romo just handed over the clipboard by the time he got Dak’s age and he surely wasn’t taking a beating when he came in. That 2009 season is when those beatings started to occur....or whenever they decided to get Nate Livings and Bernadeaux.

Dak walked into an all pro line with all the time in the world and the best running game in the league. Dak has hardly seen the ground of pressure.

The OL was a joke when Romo came in and it was the excuse for Bledsoe’s garbage performance. Bledsoe was sacked 16 times in six games before Romo stepped on the field. When Flozell went out in 2005, three of the linemen, which included Gurode, Columbo and Marco Rivera allowed over 40 sacks in ten games, that how garbage they actually were.

and that’s not even talking about pressure, because Dak was sacked only one time this game, while he saw the ground a lot. Dak couldn’t handle the pressure Romo saw regularly.

say what you will. Love him or hate him. The dude was punished today with NO help from the refs, and kept getting back up. Romo would have been in a body cast. Williams is the new Jim Johnson.
Dak is hella tough. He’s always been....love that part.

Those three guys had solid careers when Romo was out there. Not their fault Bledsoe was a statue. Using that argument Dak got sacked 50 plus times last year. Is that on Martin and Tyron?

yeah, they had solid careers when Romo was out there, because of Romo. Gurode couldn’t even call the plays he was that dumb and Leonard Davis was a bust and so was Montrae Holland. Columbo was another journeyman OL who played plenty without the statue that is Bledsoe. None of them had careers outside Romo.

and Dak’s pocket presence sucks. And if you paid attention to what I wrote, Dak was sacked ONE time this game and it was purely on him hit holding onto the call too long. If Sacks are the only indicator of pressure, that Dak had all day to throw this game.

Dak hardly gets pressured. And last year. Dak was basically top of the league among QBs in time to throw.

This is coming from the guy that tried to play the race card regarding my criticisms of Dak...

It’s also comical because Dak getting sacked plus fifty times last year had lots to do with the fact he was among the top QBs, including guys like Bortles and Osweiker in time to throw the ball for stretches, meaning he was holding onto the ball way too long..

But continue..

I don’t recall playing the race card but if I did I’m sure it was for good reason. You are telling me about Dak holding the ball too long for what? Where did I say it wasn’t his fault? Today had nothing to do with him holding the ball too long.

Oh you did and then I pointed out, as a refresher, hoe stupid it was by saying I’d take Mahomes any day, or Warren Moon, and Randall Cunningham over this mediocre QB.

You brought up the race card, because that’s probably what motivates your defense of Dak. As far as ‘holding onto the ball too long” of course you did, implicitly with the plus 50 sacks. You just didn’t realize it... Dak throws late.. that’s his MO..

he is tough. but he's not exactly the qb we were all hoping for.
No! Not the HC we were hoping for! Not the owner we were hoping for! Not the DL we were hoping for! Not the LBers we were hoping for, other than Lee. Not the DB’s we were hoping for! Not the kicker we were hoping for! Not the injuries on the O line we were hoping for! Not the injuries to the receivers we were hoping for? Not the defensive coaching we were hoping for?

How some of you fans don’t understand that Dak is the least of our problems. I don’t get it.

He could've had his neck snapped today, he was laying face down and a 300+ pound DLineman fell on his head/neck. He went into concussion protocol and returned immediately - this guy is just built completely differently. The refs allow him to take late hit after late hit after late hit - it's getting old.

I saw him get absolutely destroyed his senior year at Missisisspi state - his OLine sucked and he had a habit of holding the ball too long, but he lead that team to be #1 in the nation for a few weeks and we're pretty lucky to have him.

No I brought up the 50 sacks in reference to you saying Gurode, Adams, Davos, etc suck just because Bledsoe was a statue. Go back and reread my post.

And once again Dak throwing late had nothing to do with today.

And just because you’d take the best quarterback in the game doesn’t mean anything lol. Thats the good ol....”but I have a ___________ friend” argument lol.

Darnold would take this offensive line. He's a fast reader and scans the field fast, our guy needs a lot of time, and it gets worse with pressure.

Crazy we make threads on how tough he is, and not how great he is, and how he's carrying the team.

That says it all
Should he be carrying this team by himself? Because I don’t know any young qb with inept coaching doing it right now. Maybe you do?
