So true.

It's also evident that when Romo commentates on the Cowboys he goes out of his way to not criticise Prescott.

Romo doesn't want to be seen as a hater or bitter etc. He did Prescott a right solid last night when he could have dug him out.

Why not change the play call on that 2 point conversion? He is a Fourth years starter after all...

No doubt he tamps down his criticism, not wanting to come across bitter.

Inside though, he's shaking his head and chuckling. ("You wouldn't give me a chance to compete with that nonsense?")

Dak was destroyed by Darnold yesterday. Embarassed even. You can't be serious.

Dak played yesterday with the type of offensive personnel Romo had most of his career, especially on the offensive line. Difference is, Romo would have put up 30 on the Jets and won a game like that.

Dak was down to Green Bay, 31-3.

He got beat by Teddy Bridgewater and only field goals.

Now he was down 21-3 to the 0-5 Jets.

He's simply easy to defend.

Are we seriously going to devote $35 million in cap space each year to this guy?

Post of the Day. There is no lying in this post

Oh no doubt. But deep inside he was thinking, " This is the chump that wants to get paid 40-50 mil"? :lmao2:

why do fans keep using this argument?

Dak doesnt get beat by other QBs his defense does.. you put Darnold on our team yesterday in the exact situation, he fails as well.. sorry Dak didnt play perfectly but OUR D got beat by TB and Darnold… not Dak he doesnt play Defense and with two missing starting tackles and a starting WR against an underrated defense and DC its why we got beat...Dak this game didnt cause us to be down 21-9 two games in row 3 scores down, sure in GB the INts didnt help with short fields but yesterday and in all three losses TO given up by the defense is big problem and Dak doesnt play over there..Yes Dak has been back to bad dak with the high throws, behind throws, and not leading WRs etc but not the main issue to as why we lost but like others pointed out, also nothing to put the team on his shoulders and win like we Saw out of Watson and Wilson yesterday.. both teams down early and found a way to just pick up the team and win..

Its team losses all 3 not many can be let off the hook...

Romo looked giddy at times yesterday. He knows he escaped Dallas at just the right time. Right when Jerry stopped giving a $#@+

The big giveaway to me is when Romo covers a game where one or both teams actually run a 21st century NFL offense. You can tell he fully understands those offenses, and is not-so-secretly jealous he didn't get to operate in one of those schemes when he played.

I think the point is if you put Prescott on the Jets team yesterday then they would not have won.

Darnold made several excellent throws that led to big points. Granted there was the one poor throw that cost them three points but he made the big plays when he had to.

I would agree with you completely if our offense hasn't completly failed to do anythng to win or stay in the game the last 3 weeks. D held NO to 12 points and we lose, GB puts 31 on us with 3 minutes left in the 3rd Quarter and our offense has only scored 3. The Jets put 24 on thru 3 quarters all our offense can manage is 3 FG we are down 21-9. So yes the D gives up the points but it's our offense that has been stagnent the last 3 weeks if the games were shootouts the entire way and we were losing i would be pointing fingers entirely at the D but that just isn't the case these last 3 weeks

Dak made those throws in the first 3 games when not much pressure in his face, like I said our Defense hardly made Darnold move on those big throws..i think they do win with Dak on this exact game repeated and switching QBs..

Unreal. We ran on 15 of our 25 1st downs. Such a stupid team.

We immediately put ourselves behind the stick

The point is wrong though.

Darnold made no more excellent throws than Dak did.

The other comprehensive QB stat had Darnold at 113.8 and Dak at 89.3 i wonder which one is more accurate of the outcome of the game

QBR without question is better than passer rating when evaluating QB performace. That's shouldn't even be a discussion.

Wow...you have elevated Romo to god like status. Must be why he won 2 career playoff games.

And the stats say he out played Darnold.

Try again.

It's actually a perfectly legitimate argument.

The NFL is like a tennis match between quarterbacks. Quarterbacks have to hold serve against guys like Rodgers. You remember the Romo-Peyton classic? The Chiefs-Rams game last year with Mahomes and Goff? Romo spent most of his entire career trying to win shoot-outs with his horrible offensive lines and historically terrible defenses. Most of the time, he kept up just fine.

The NFL heavily favors the offense. If you're a good quarterback, you should be really hard to stop. The rules are designed to make sure you are.

I'm certainly not blaming everything on Dak, but that's not the point. The NFL game is all about the quarterback. Elite ones keep you in games when things are awry. They have the ball in their hand and make the real-time decisions. They have to will it. That's why they get paid like they do.
