With elite quarterbacks, it doesn't matter what defense it is. They most always figure it out and win the game, or at least put up the points to do so.

These were the hapless 0-5 Jets, who didn't even play that well.

Dak has put up 10, 3, and 20 points the past three weeks during non-garbage time. Put Darnold on this team, and those numbers would be MUCH higher.

LMAO you and your typical answers we see and hear everyday.. again nice for fans but not what real team games are about..

yes Elite QBs can Will you to afew wins during season that should have been losses but ive seen elite QBs get beat by scrub teams ...it happens , any given Sunday comes to mind..

seriously ive seen Rogers miss the playoffs what 2 straight years? Drew brees what 3 seasons of 7-9 or what ever it was in NO.. We beat RW last year in the playoffs, what happened? Did Mahomes win every game oh wait they are on a 2 game losing streak..i get it better play form the QB is necessary but this isnt all on Dak.

ill tell you what happened , its a team game and coaching also plays into it.. its pretty simple execute better and make less mistakes..

Dak is #1 is QBR this year- his offenses' DVOA? #1
Wilson is #2- Offense #3
Mahomes #3- Offense #2
Watson #4- Offense #13
Wentz #5- Offense #6

All five teams mentioned are also top 10 in points and yards(except for Philly with yards). I'm not a total points or yardage backer, but some prefer it because they don't know DVOA.

OMG we have the Best QB in the NFL......wow after watching the last 3 games I find this to amazing.
Think I need glasses the size of Coca Cola bottles....lol....

I don't think Dak get's off without at least some share of the blame - he is still throwing just a tick behind receivers a little too often, and there are other things he could have done better. But he also took a beating behind an O-Line that did a really poor job of protecting him, and there were a few drops by the receivers.
That's all true.

But do we pay Dak $35 million a year? I'm fine with him at quarterback provided we have enough cap space to surround him with elite talent.

Dak's a slow reader. Maybe give him some cliff notes. LMAO.. *throws in the offensive line excuse*
You're right!! Games aren't won or lost in the trenches!!

Brilliant!!!

BTW - you've posted this twice now. We get it.......you don't know football.

I think the team should ride out the season a little longer before deciding how to handle Dak's contract.

Of course it's not all on Dak.

But this is about a mammoth contract that could cripple this team for half a decade. I'm fine with him here, but that contract needs to be somewhere around $20 million per year, or it's over.

Dak is not hard for teams to prepare for. He isn't worthy of 30% of the cap.

Missing both starting tackles, 2/3 starting receivers and while getting hit nearly every time he dropped back he threw for nearly 300 yards and carried his team nearly all the way back from 3 TDs down.

The OL and defense really wet the bed today

Sounds like a bunch of excuses. The tackles were fine, receivers were open, Dak just needs to throw a better ball and maybe these receivers can catch it. Drops happen but you can't always make the catch as hard on the receivers as possible and expect them to still perform at a high level, they need help too.

The best part of averages is they get a bit skewered. I bet over the 1st 3 games they were much higher than the last 3 games (although i would have to check to be sure). The flip side is that both QBR and Passer rating have shown a steady decline from week 1 to 6

QBR... Passer Rating

95.6... 158.3.....................Week 1 Giants
94.4... 123.5.....................Week 2 Wash
75.9... 91.4.....................Week 3 Dolphins
75.6... 73.2.....................Week 4 Saints
37.5... 83.8.....................Week 5 GB
73.5... 89.3.....................Week 6 Jets

Take a gander at the average time he had to throw. It's a wonder he got passes off he did.

Has anyone noticed how little touch Dak has on his throws? They all seem to come out at 100 mph.

No doubt this is true. If you back up to my earlier post you will see that I mentioned this. I also posted in one of the threads that with the pressure he was under it's a wonder he only got sacked once, didn't throw an INT and didn't get hurt. I just tend to think we need to let things play out a little longer before making any big decisions. Yesterday was a pretty big blow to the team.

Exactly.

I don't get these people that are still in a rush to hand him this massive contract, especially after we have seen his play the last few weeks (it's not been great or as good as his first three games).

I don't know what else he could have done. The defense and O line was hot garbage. A couple of those hits he took were late with no calls.

I don't care about contracts, not up to us. It's literally a waste of time.

Steady decline!?!?! Week 4 and 6 are similiar to week 3, and jumped back up after week 5, while passed rating improved week 5 and week 6. Steady decline doesn't seem to be applicable here at all.

Dak has hit a 73.5 QBR 5 of 6 weeks if your post is correct. That 73.5(2nd lowest of season) would put him at.... 5th highest on the season lol.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he played poorly, and frankly I thought he did a good job handling the pressure. I don't put the burden of this loss on Dak's back. But we can't say he had an outstanding game either. He did throw a little behind receivers running crossing patterns too often, which for a game wouldn't bother me, and especially one where he was under a lot of pressure, but that has been pretty common this year. Most are catchable, but it doesn't allow receivers to keep running in stride, and it gives a trailing DB a chance to make a play. He was also high on a lot of throws yesterday.

Dude, I didn't say he was outstanding. Just not the culprit.

And I didn't say he was the culprit. You responded to me, and I thought maybe you misunderstood what I was saying, so I was just clarifying.
