They are really really good at not creating turnovers.

I mean they have it down to a science on how to scheme and play defense with zero chance of creating turnovers on their own.

I was screaming at Brown last game, turn your head, if he did it, he would have INTs

What exactly does this defense do well? I can not think of one single thing. It surely isn't forcing turnovers. We don't tackle well. Minimal pressure on the QB. We aren't aggressive. Every single coach/QB knows our defense and they know we don't adjust. Secondary never makes any plays at all. Especially on the ball. Safeties are probably the worst in the league. So many bone headed plays. They do nothing to help this offense. I know they have a lot of issues and everyone focuses on them but this defense is downright pathetic and have been for years. Their goal is to keep everything in front of them. We don't create turnovers to flip the field and change momentum. And actually scoring themselves? That is a foreign concept to this defense. Even if we force a punt, the offense every single drive has to drive 3/4 of the field or longer. That is not a recipe for success. We don't force quick 3 and outs.

And I think you can lump the special teams in this. They are also horrible. Punter/kicker are terrible. We can't return kicks or punts at all. And even if we do, they are usually called back. This offense always has a daunting task in front of it and that is to drive the ball the length every dang time.

This secondary after playing the likes of Eli, Keenum, Rosen/Fitz, Darnold, we have one single interception. And that was off a dropped pass deflection by Tedd Ginn. We are at the bottom of the league year after year in interceptions.

I might be missing something so someone help me out.

They sit on the sidelines with their faces in their hands pretty well...

Yes so maddening. None of our secondary actually track the ball and try and make a play. I don't know if they just suck at it or they are schemed not to. I think it is more the coaching and scheme. They are preached to all week every year to not give up the big play. Play soft and keep it all in front of you. That is the kind of defense you play when you are up by a lot and just wanting to run clock on defense. Except this is the kind of defense Dallas plays the entire game every single week. No sense of urgency. Like Darnold said, we do what we do and nothing else. Every play we do the same thing. We never adjust to what the opposing offense is doing. Our defense schemes us to let any offense in the league to look efficient. Heck even Miami drove the ball on us at will in that 1st half. They just stalled late. Giants got over 500 yards of offense. Saints while only scoring 12, drove the ball a lot. 4 trips to the redzone. A 9 minute drive immediately after we took the lead to give the lead back.

Hot Boyz?

  • Lost Boyz
  • Little Boyz
  • Useless Boyz
  • Unseen Boyz
  • Not Dem Boyz
Has to be a better name for them...

The Lost Boyz would actually be a much cooler nickname. But to have that nickname, they would at least have to show up for the night games.

Aside from the one to two good plays per drive they usually have, they don’t really have anything I can point to with certainty to cheer about. All year.not happy with what I saw. No takeaways and no sacks from Lawrence, and utterly nothing for run d. LBs...those guys I most displeased with of group. I know our secondary not great, know d-line not....but them? Needed to put more in sound tackling on field than what was out there.

Actually, when it comes to third down conversions, only the Patriots have been better.

The Cowboys have only allowed 25% of them to be successful. New England is at a ridiculous 14%.

The Atlanta Falcons allow 56% of third downs to be converted.
Yes,you’re right there’s one thing. Unfurtunley it’s “one thing”. Got to have more turnovers and overall sound tackling to go with that.

It's a comedy show...that's for sure. I'm sure other teams sit back and just laugh their ***** off watching our game tape. How stupid can one team be?

Jets quarterback Darnold hasn't been in the league 2 years and said he knew what Dallas would do. "They just do what they kinda do. They do it every week. They play one safety high. Sometimes two. I knew I had to throw the ball today to have success. And I did......Sam Darnold. If a kid knows this. What is an all pro gonna do to this defense??

Why do you think even the most spare QBs look effective against us? Because they know exactly what to expect every snap. Even the most inept QB in terms of NFL standards can carve up a defense if he knows exactly what that defense will be every snap and knows he will not have to worry about anything exotic or adjustments or deception. And it also helps when he knows the DL won't deliver much pressure at all. Because heaven forbid we send any types of blitzes to keep them off guard or even show blitz and back off. We do zero to disguise and that is the name of the game at this level.
